Hotel is beautifully landscaped, blending modern amenities with ancient architecture. The pool is heated at a constant temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and perfect to swim in. Rooms were spacious and I liked how there are separate work and sleep area. The room we were in is above the lakes so we were able to feed the fishes from the balcony. The free 'extras' offered to guests were a nice touch - they include free photography (5 photos) and free activity option of fan painting or hike.

“Incredible!”

This is easily the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in! This was the ‘splurge’ part of our two weeks in China and it didn’t disappoint. The service was incredible, the duty manager checked in periodically to check how we slept, if we needed help with anything, if we had onward transport sorted on the day we checked out. The rooms and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The food was delicious and there was a very good range of things to choose from. I would really recommend the river cruise and the cormorant fishing trip, both were highlights of our China trip.

Our stay was perfect. Every time we returned from our tours or shopping, it felt like we were back in paradise. The staff were welcoming and professional; the rooms were clean, and the breakfast served was delectable. We also enjoyed feeding the ducks, peacocks and fishes. The bamboo rafting experience was a bonus.

The spa, the ambient and the staff super friendly. It has a nice view and close to the river.

Very quiet and very beautiful hotel and surrounding. Staff are very attentive for all your concerns. Breakfast and dinner were very good with many options I had a great and piecefull time

The hotel is such a nice place! I like the architecture and environment ! The room is very spacious with a big balcony! I can see the mountain and the beautiful lake from the room 😍 The food was good in the Chinese restaurant !

“Spectacular views from paradise.”

The location is very nice and calm. It is a paradise at the river. With spectacular views at the mountains. The Staff in general was excellent. Sometimes there was a language problem but we can manage that. In the Chinese restaurant our waiter was very good. Spoke good English. His name was Prince and he was very fun to speak with. Gives good advice over the dishes and he loves his work. Also the complimentary raft ride over the river was excellent

Stunning property, albeit slightly dated, but great value for money and the location is wonderful. The staff really standout for their warmth and service mentality.
