This ryokan has exceeded my expectations. It was wonderful to meet with the host who could speak good English. Our room was large and very clean, overlooking the canal. The breakfast was very good as well.

“Homely, cosy stay”

The ladies running the ryokan were waiting for us when we arrived, and gave us a brief run down of the room's amenities. When it was time to leave, one of them had put our shoes out, and was there to bid us good bye. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of.

Beautiful Ryokan in an old Japanese house overlooking a nice garden. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a new bathroom. The Japanese breakfast was delicious and staff was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. Short walk from the train station. Definitely recommend this place for a stay in Yanagawa!

location was quite central to many nice unagi place, the owner of the ryokan was very nice and hospitable! | parking is directly opposite the ryokan as well super convenient. most importantly the ryokan is very clean and modern. yet captures the traditional element of a typical japanese household. love it!

Hidden gem! Cosy traditional big tatami rooms. Beautiful small garden, view to a canal. Extremely friendly and helpful land lady. She provided us with extremely delicious course meal for dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast. Can recommend fully for true Japan experience!

Room for 2 with private bathroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast and dinner portions were huge. Host was friendly and attentive to our special requests. Parking in front of the ryokan was free.
