Beautiful restored old Japanese house with only two rooms. Very nice reception area with craft items sold from the Yame area that are also placed throught the room. The room was very large and spread over two floors. I enjoyed every minute of it, and they thought of every detail. Breakfast was a feast and they catered to our dietary needs. Wonderful receptionist who went above and beyond and made us a dinner reservation on a busy night.

Breakfast was served warm and hearty. In the comforts of the room on a tatami floor. The setting was beautiful, with view out to a private garden through Japanese screens. These is ample space over two levels. On the second level, an assortment of Japanese crafts such as glassware and ceramic ware are on display. The window overlooks a small street, and there is a hot and cold water dispenser for convenience. The cedar tub is exquisite and the amenities are top-notched. It's a place you'd want to come back to again, with two themed rooms. I stayed in the Indigo room.

The space of the room was a wonderful. On two floors with very comfortable beds, bed linen, a beautiful wooden bath, a large tatami matted space to sit, be and eat breakfast. The indigo wall hangings were a delight to have in the space and we booked an incredible workshop held by the artist who created the hanging to learn the process of indigo dyeing. This was very special. The staff were very welcoming, generous and exceptionally helpful with directions, booking activities and dinner reservations. They went above and beyond.

One of the most special places we’ve stayed in Japan. Craft Inn Te in Yame is a hidden gem, beautiful design, super comfortable beds, and the most exquisite breakfast (seriously, 5-star level). We loved the two-floor layout and the peaceful vibe. The matcha tea ceremony was a highlight, authentic and unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and soulful stay.

I love the hinoki bathtub, we really enjoyed soaking in the hot bath after a whole day of walking around. And the thoughtful breakfast they prepared for us daily was so delicious and portions were huge!

“A very quaint town with friendly locals”

It’s a unique experience to stay in an accommodation converted from their old shophouse. It has been tastefully renovated and decorated for a comfortable stay. The Yame Breakfast was a delicious treat! I loved it. The soup was umami and everything else was delicious! Staff were very polite and helpful.

Staff are polite. they are responsive when communicating before arrival for necessary arrangement. The room is spacious and in excellent new, clean, simple and modern. Breakfast was all from local produce and tasty.
