Excellent location close to the train station, very kind and accommodating staff. Excellent hot spring baths with a variety of temperatures, and I enjoyed a very delicious meal my first night there. Very well maintained tatami mat room, nice comfortable futon and good air conditioner too! Nice tea set provided and refreshed daily!

Amazing staff, amazing hotel. It is very traditional, cosy, clean and food and people are over the top. The onsen is the secret gem! I will come back for sure :) Thanks so much for giving us as a present an amazing apple jam

“Amazing stay”

Friendly staff. Conveniently located very close to Yudanaka station. Able to serve delicious vegan breakfast/dinner. They confirmed our dietary requirements when we arrived. Clean spacious room with heater and thick blanket so we were warm even in the winter. Private onsen available for couples/families to bathe together, as well as the male/female separated baths. We were able to leave our luggage after check-out as we wanted to go to Snow Monkey Park. Bonus: souvenir stamp available at reception!

“Very nice place”

Our stay was amazing! The hotel is really cozy, the onsen baths are enjoyable (open-air and private), the rooms were nice and clean with comfortable tatami beds. I really recommend ordering breakfast and dinner (in advance) - they include a lot of various meals and are very delicious. The staff is very friendly and kind.

Owner and his family are very helpful and started communicating with me as soon as I made the booking, advising me on car rental and transport options. Ryokan is splendid! Spacious, warm and clean, and conveniently located. It is midway between Nagano city and Shiga Kogen, and I I drove up to Shiga Kogen everyday to ski instead of staying uphill. Onsens in the Ryokan is fantastic and dinner was delicious! Worth every penny of our three nights stay!

It's typical family owned hotel with tatami floors and matrasses on the floor, for experience. Private Onsen available. Tea was provided on arrival and the heater worked well taking in account that temperatures were very low. N

“Best place ever”

Everything was truly amazing, we were in Japan 3 times, but this experience was the best! The owners were so kind and caring, it could be seen in little details and overall. The building was gorgeous, our room was traditional but at the same time very comfortable and had modern facilities. Local private onsen is just another topic of conversation! Very cozy, beautiful and unique. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful, delicious and served with soul. We were able to take some pictures in this hotel and in the end the owner even gave us a souvenir! I would recommend it from the bottom of my heart 💔
