The place is beautifully decorated and elegant. The staff have excellent service mind and are very attentive to guests. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The hotel offers complete facilities and amenities. I especially loved the beverage bar, which serves delicious matcha freshly prepared by the staff. The historic onsen is beautiful, featuring traditional wooden architecture and classic Japanese artistry. The accommodation is located in a charming old town area with many picturesque spots for photography.

Very well kept ryokan with an excellent location, walking distance from the railway station. Nice japanese style room with a nice view to mountains. Amazing breakfast and dinner with tradional food. Friendly staff, even if English was not always fluent, but it didn’t matter at all. Private onsen was really good, we enjoyed it a lot. Strong recommendation!

Staff and Onsen. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Onsen was beautiful. We did not try the private onsen. You can visit both Onsen with just one night of stay.

Great onsen facilities, staff were fantastic and very helpful. Fixed meals had vegetarian alternatives and the hotel was proactive about this before we arrived for our stay. Lounge/common area was great to use.

Everything was wonderful. The staff were very helpful, even though some didn't speak English, they still tried their best to assist. The lobby was spacious and beautiful. The rooms were clean and well-equipped.The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the best part was the outdoor onsen. They have a large onsen that you absolutely shouldn't miss if you stay here.The hotel has parking in front of the building, but there aren't many spaces, so you should inform the hotel in advance that you will be parking a car.

his place perfectly matched my image of a traditional Japanese ryokan. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. I truly appreciated how accommodating the staff were with special dietary requirements, and the station pick-up service was very convenient. Their warm hospitality made my first day in Japan especially pleasant, even though it was unusually heavy rain that day.

“Most beautiful onsen I have stayed in.”

I lived in Japan for 22 years. This is now my favorite onsen. The outdoor bath was incredible with beautiful landscaping and comfortably hot water (not lukewarm). The meals were served in a separate restaurant and they were ornate and delicious. The price was a bit on the expensive side but for the elaborate meals we had for dinner and breakfast and the quality of the onsen, we were more than satisfied. The staff all spoke English so it made our time there very comfortable. The whole inn is very authentic Japanese. If you want a truly Japanese cultural experience, this is your place.
