“Charming traditional hotel in the middle of Shubu Onden”
- the room was a traditional Japanese room and it was quite confortable and spacious - the showers and toilets were very clean - staff were very nice and helpful - the ryokan is in the centre of the Shibu Onsen, so you can easily walk to all the baths. They give you a key on arrival. - it was very silent at night - Food at the hotel was excellent! The hotel is quite old, but adds to the charm ! Don’t expect fancy

Really well situated in the town. Loved the complimentary Yukata, basket and shoes to wear to the onsens. Excellent transfer service to and from the station, as well as to the monkey park.

Lovely owner. He transports you from and to station as well to Monkey park. Food in Ryokan is delicious.

“Great place for two nights”
Very accommodating and helpful staff. They provide shuttles to the station and monkey park. Very good location to nearby hot springs and places to eat. The restaurant was exceptional - was very surprised I decided to eat there for both breakfasts and dinners. Authentic Ryokan experience but with modern toilets.

Great location in the heart of the Shibu Onsen neighbourhood. The staff had good english and were very helpful. The shuttle bus to/from the nearest train station and the snow monkey park was really good.

Lovely tradition rooms in Shibu Onsen.. The staff were extremely helpful even going out of their way to provide us with an extra room at short notice..

“Wonderful stay”
The ryokan Is wonderful and really traditional, the 9 onsen tour with yukata was magical and the girls at the ryokan was super cute and kind.

“homey Ryokan experience”
everything, the ryokan, the location (nearby to all the 9 shibu onsen, the unique design with shortcuts, the staff...super it felt homey...the futon set, especially the quilt blanket was soo light and comfy. priceless experience sadly, stayed there during not soo high season want to be back, if got the chance
