“Beautiful and comfortable”
The old couple I believe who ran this place were extremely friendly and made us feel so welcome here. During April, the onsen was empty (only 150yen additional to use it) and the futon beds were surprisingly extremely comfortable. The view from the room was nice, the room really has an authentic Japanese feel to it. The breakfast was delicious!!

Genuine friendly Japanese ryokan. Rooms are generous- traditional tatami of course. Bathrooms are shared - there is a lovely outdoor onsen to enjoy and it was very quiet. Minimal English is not a problem- the hosts are very welcoming and the Japanese breakfast delicious. Very close to the monkey park.

Traditional Ryokan managed by a lovely family, with a magnificent breakfast, dinner and onsen. Going to the onsen in the evening was amazing since I had it almost for myself. A few minutes walking to the entrance of the snow Monkey Park (therefore a bit far from Yudanaka station if you're not using the express transport)

An old school ryokan, good value for money and the host was super nice. Although they don’t speak English, they have signs up everywhere and are very nice and kind. The dinner provided was also very tasty (we recommend you get the dinner as it is about a 10-15 min walk to Shibu Onsen area and there are limited food options nearby)

“Best value Ryokan in Nagano”
Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Facilities are all clean and very comfortable. The natural onsen was the best I've ever experienced. Food was delicious and very good value, I recommend it for at least one night of your stay.

“Comfortable inn with lovely owners.”
The couple who own it are absolutely lovely and rush to accommodate your every need. The rooms are very spacious, especially for accomodation in Japan. Very traditional with large comfortable futon beds, a TV, fridge and a robust heater (which was really nice in Nagano’s cold winter). The location is excellent, particularly if you plan on a visit to the Snow Monkey Park, being only about a 15 minute walk away. There are several cosy restaurants and izakayas also a short walk away. We didn’t get the opportunity to try the dinner but the breakfast was great and very reasonably priced at only 1,100¥. The shared onsen is immaculate and very relaxing. Overall it’s great value for money.

Room was spacious and clean, dinner delicious. Onsen was great and staff very helpful and friendly. The location is a bit further off the traffic infrastructure then I realized during the booking but this didn't make our stay in this lovely accommodation and town any less magic.

“What an amazing experience.”
Ok first of all if you are looking for a traditional place to stay and feel super comfortable in a cozy futon bed -> here you‘ll have it all. The food is a hommage to japanese gods, it was so delicious and our host was the most amazing cute friendly granny you could have ever ask for! The private Onsen - Wow!

“Home away from home with ultimate relaxation Onsen”
- The owner was so sweet and made us feel at home - On-site Onsen was amazing and authentic. A bath for each gender, but it was super relaxing and a great reset, yukata’s provided for the full experience, away from the busy Shibu Onsen - Breakfast and dinner were really good, enjoyed it a lot - Very comfortable futons & room, very clean - 10 min walk to the start of snow monkey trail, 10 min to Shibu onsen, bus stop in front of the door
