Surrounded by Japanese gardens with lush trees and various wild flowers, Fudouson-no-yu Kotobuki boasts spacious Japanese-Style guest rooms and indoor/outdoor natural hot spring baths. Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park can be reached within a 25-minute walk. Fitted with wide windows that offer garden views, all rooms feature a seating area with a low table and cushions. Other in-room facilities include a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Bathroom and toilets are shared with other guests, while towels and yukata robes are offered. Guests at Kotobuki Fudouson-no-yu can unwind at the public bathing area or relax at the common lounge area featuring a fireplace and sofas. Free luggage and ski storage services are available. Yudanaka Train Station is a 20-minute bus ride away. Maruike Ski Resort and Shiga Highland area can be reached in a 20-minute drive. Traditional Japanese breakfast is available at the dining room.

“Go there!”
This place is as close to the snow monkey park as it can get! It was a very nice stay, rooms are traditional but very comfortable. The onsen was amazing and not full of people!

Nice place. Very peaceful, close to the Monkey park. Onsen was really great, also having nice outdoor Japanese style pool. There are shared bathrooms, but the rooms as well as entire house is very clean. I can recommend this place.

Exceptional staff. The manager of the hotel must feel like family. The Onsen in the hotel was so relaxing. The traditional kimono and jacket supplied were so authentic and allowed us to immerse ourselves in the traditional Japanese culture. The hotel is at the gate of the Snow Monkey park. Amazing experience. Thankyou again for being so warm and hospitable!

“Wonderful stay - thank you”
The staff were wonderful and friendly. I had never stayed at a traditional Japanese Inn or Ryukan. They helped me understand expectations and feel comfortable. Location is very close to Snow Monkeys. The doona is exceptionally light and warm - like wearing hug!

“Amazing Location and friendly staff”
Traditional stay with friendly and helpful staffs. Snow monkey park is half an hour walk away making it very convenient and there was a Iocal cafe and a restaurant nearby. I was lucky to have the hot springs to myself and needed a relaxing break from the city. I would love to come back.
