I loved my stay here and I can’t wait to go back again. The onsens are fantastic, the rooms are immaculate and the service is next level. The fact that you can use the bigger onsens in the nearby sister hotel is a big plus

“Best amazibg japan experience”

Everything!!!! It is an amazing place. You can experience the bath (top outside), have a walk with japanese dress, best dinner and best breakfast!

Our stay at this authentic Japanese ryokan in Yudanaka was truly unforgettable. From the very first moment, everything felt peaceful, elegant, and perfectly harmonious. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout the entire stay. The garden and the rooms were absolutely stunning, creating a calm and magical atmosphere. The ryokan also offers two different onsens, both beautifully maintained and incredibly relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast were simply outstanding — every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly detailed, and full of refined flavors. It was one of the most memorable culinary experiences we have ever had.

The staff were super friendly and they gave us recommendations of what to do in the area. The hotel is beautiful and the onsen was amazing. We were able to book it privately. The food was incredible. I definitely recommend it. Walking distance from the snow monkey park and it is located in an onsen village and very close to another onsen village.

“Almost nice”

I liked the bed, the view on the garden, many details of the structure were recent and good quality. The private onsen was a plus, even if not luxurious. The staff were extremely attentive and smiling.

We asked for vegetarian meals and they were delicious. The personnel were very friendly, helpful and going extra mile to accommodate us. We have tattoos so we couldn't use the public onsen, but there are two open-air onsens you can reserve on the same day for a private bath so we were very content and satisfied.

Very friendly staff, great facilities and exceptionally good food. Rooms are nice but a bit small. We didn't stay for very long but definitely would come back again.

“Fantastic Onsen in Yamanouchi”

The hotel was exactly what we hoped for. It was traditional in style, had a range of bath options and looked fantastic. The room had plenty of space for two people and was stylish and warm. It was comfortable and the staff were very helpful and attentive but not at all intrusive. Our lack of Japanese was no issue for them or us. It was an easy walk to the Yadanaka train station and bus stop to the snow monkey park. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing.

“An Idyllic Retreat”

Onsens, Fantastic Food, Snow Monkeys - What more could you ask for! A short walk from the Yudanaka Station, this is a perfect little spot. We chose to stay in the Japanese room, very comfortable with a gorgeous garden view where you could sit and forget about the world. The breakfast and dinner were absolute highlights of our stay. The breakfast was an amazing selection of many dishes beautifully presented using local ingredients. I loved the watercolor-sketched menu, which provided a unique and artistic description of each dish. The dinner service was equally impressive. The lovely staff were attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate our specific requests, ensuring a truly personalised dining experience. The staff at Kamei No Yu were exceptional throughout our stay. They were so incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any requests. We were particularly touched by the staff's attentiveness towards my mother, demonstrating a level of care that truly meant a lot to us. Tomo, and the ladies were incredibly patient and helpful. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the private onsen session. What a treat afetr a cold day exploring. Relaxing and rejuvenating experience, which I had one at home.
