The hotel staff were extremely warm and welcoming. The Japanese style rooms were large and well appointed. And the dinner service was just amazing! The best meal we had for the almost 2 weeks we spent in Japan!

Wonderful location close to train and bus links. The hotel staff were so kind and looked after us very well. The meals were exceptional and we would not hesitate to recommend. We hope to come back again. Many thanks to all at the hotel.

The beds were very comfortable, the delicious tea in the rooms was a lovely touch, and the kimonos were beautiful and available in all sizes. The toiletries were of excellent quality and smelled amazing. We had an unforgettable girls’ time (with my stepdaughter and my 3 daughters) in the baths on the 5th floor. We received such a warm welcome, and the traditional breakfast served privately for us was a delightful surprise. The traditional decoration and set up of the rooms. Coffee and tea were excellent Everything was truly exceptional… Even a list of restaurants was proposed with the link to guide us to it…we only regretted staying for just one night. P.S. The apple juice produced by their farm alone is worth the visite!

“A great stay for Snow Monkey business.”

Location for access to the Snow Monkey Park (a few minutes by taxi). Also, one of the only hotels that had decaffeinated coffee in the breakfast restaurant and in guest lounge (but not in bedrooms). As I need decaffeinated drinks this was a big plus for me. The private outdoor Onsen (for a charge), on the roof was nice if you don’t like to use public baths

Very Good Ryokan with only a few minutes walk from the station. And they even provide shuttle bus, even though its so close, which is somewhat unnecessary for me. Overall the service and food is good. For Onsen, the indoor Onsen is too hot for me, but the outdoor one is around the right temperature. If you like the high temperature Onsen, then you should try the indoor one.

“Fabulous hotel easy walking to everything.”

The location is excellent and we had a rent a car so could park it on the block next door. Our room was beautiful. We opted for mountain views and proper beds and they were so comfortable. The included meals were so amazing. Every morsel was delicious and we couldn’t believe the quality and presentation. Would highly recommend this hotel. Was topped off by free sake after dinner.

A lot of the onsen experiences were brilliant and the option to have a private onsen in a room was amazing. The staff were incredible and the food tasted amazing.
