Staff members spoke little to no English, but despite this, were very friendly, chatty and helped me to understand the local area and things within the vicinity of the hotel. Hotel was outdated, but charming, rooms are very big, with lots of space for many people. Futon, is not the normal way for a westerner, but actually, I had two of the best nights of sleep on my trip, so not so bad :)

The reception staff (sorry I didn't get his name) was so friendly and helpful. The onsen and food were great. It was a truly relaxing stay for us.

A classic small hotel with an interesting interior, a buffet breakfast, a spacious room with tatami mats, and good internal with rotenburo onsen. However, if you plan to visit public, city onsen, this hotel does not offer this service.

“Nice Classic Japanese Room Experience & Breakfast”

I like the classic Japanese ryokan feel of the hotel. The given the Japanese style rooms with a comfy futon to sleep in like a baby. The breakfast selections were generous & plentiful to choose from, mainly Japanese breakfast dishes. Customer service was good, helpful & clear. Appreciate their front desk friendly staffs ever ready assistance. The hot spring was nice tho there’s no view at all. But overall well maintained & spacious!

The buffet dinner was excellent for the price, with sushi, sashimi and a good range of dishes. The buffet breakfast was also excellent. The Japanese style room had plenty of space for our luggage.

The property has a fantastic onsen inside with everything you need. Very clean. A wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and authentic and the offering to wear a kimono was a lovely treat as a foreigner. The room has everything you needed including a small table to sit at which we found helpful. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. This is a hidden gem! Very Japanese experience for foreigners and the hotel is old but full of life!

Clean, spacious, traditional Japanese-style rooms. Great location a short walk from the train station, easy check in, daily room service, excellent price. We used the beautiful onsite onsen every day. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to staying again.

Location is convenient to reach many ski areas in 30 minutes to one hour. Despite the premises aren't new the atmosphere is nice, the Onsen are big and include the sauna. Breakfast is gorgeous if you like Japanese style buffet. Free parking
