Good location, lovely Onsen

“Will definitely visit again”

The host is so lovely and the service is great. Both dinner and the breakfast is to my liking, however served in Japanese style.

We had half board so enjoyed breakfast and dinner each day. The meals were delicious and plentiful. We stayed for over a week and each meal was different which we appreciated. Our room was warm and comfortable. We loved our daily onsen which helped with sore muscles after skiing each day. The hotel is well located for skiing. A very short walk for tickets and ski tows. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Excellent location to access the lifts at Ichinose. Only 100metres to walk from the bus stop to the front door. Good Japanese breakfast.

Excellent place to stay in Ichinose. The couple running the place were awesome, meals were an incredible spread of small Japanese dishes with some Western options on the side. Very convenient location 5 min walk to the lifts in the morning and almost ski to the door in the afternoon. The lounge area was excellent to hang out in, comfy couches and a good selection of drinks. We liked the tatami mats and futons. I can't imagine any place being better value at Shiga Kogen. Highly recommend.

Great location, 2 mins walk to the bus stop & shop. Easy walking access to the ski lifts. The room was a good size and the shared bathroom clean & tidy. Very friendly staff!

“Good value, well maintained”

Decent sized traditional Japanese tatami room, decent size onsen bath for a relatively small property. Quiet & well located - short walk to the Ichinose bus stop & the Ichinose ski area. There is a small Yamazaki convenience store nearby, & being in Ichinose means you have plenty of dining options nearby (but will need to book). Daily Japanese mixed western breakfast set was good & filling, while the staff was flexible with requests. Locker room to dry your ski / snowboard gears.

The location was phenomenal, very close to the ski fields and can access all areas of the mountain. The breakfast and dinner was very traditional which was a strong point of difference. For those who want an authentic Japanese experience, I would suggest the inclusion of the half board package. The room was clean and warm which were the essentials after long days of skiing. The tatami bed was a little different to the western beds but an experience nonetheless. I would stay here again and i highly recommend this location.

Breakfast different each morning had us guessing, good - interesting. Hot bath each night was very relaxing to unwind from days skiing. room nice and warm.

“Good central location for Shiga Kogen”

The room was spacious and quiet with great views out over the valley. The staff were very helpful especially when our bags got delivered to the wrong hotel. Breakfast and dinners were generous although a little boring when staying for a week. The bath was lovely and clean. The whole hotel was very quiet when we stayed.

“Fabulous, touched and loved the place”

Is cosy and typical Japanese run business. The hosts were superb and they tried their best to accommodate my request. When we checked out, one of the staff even helped to bring us to the bus stop in the heavy snowfall. This gesture touches us. Will recommend to everyone that want a cosy and family friendly experience.

great japanese breakfast included in our tarriff. The manager went out of his way to assist us with an issue unrelated to the hotel. Great access to Ichinose slopes, which is in t he centre of Shiga Kogen ski area.

The location was great, there was plenty of snow so the skiing was great. The staff were very friendly. The 'Black Cat' service offered at the hotel efficiently and economically transported all our ski gear to our last hotel for the trip home while we did some touring around Japan. We did enjoy our stay.
