It’s a lovely place next to the beach. I booked there for sunrise. I enjoyed the view as well as the stay. Hosts were super kind and helpful. Common area and room were decorated and stylish. Hosts are cat lover. I wish to stay longer with those lovely cats.

I like everything about this property. It has great location to the lake where has a great view of Mt. Fuji, clean room, cute cats, very friendly owner etc. We stayed there for one night and already consider coming back next time.

The host was lovely and so helpful and attentive. We loved the beautiful cats who were our welcoming committee! Room was beautiful, clean and interesting, with the beds up in the loft. I very much enjoyed the private bath. As an added bonus, we could see Mount Fuji out our bedroom window! Would absolutely recommend to other travellers.

“Amazing and super friendly!”

The host was super friendly and accomodating! The whole place feels really homely, you could easily spend more time here! The cats are super cute. There is not that much to do right around the property but you can rent a bike and there are great bike paths. If I ever decide to go to somewhere near Mt. Fuji again I would definitly come here.

The hostess was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She kindly provided a vegetarian alterative for the breakfast and always greeted us with a smile in the morning. The bathing facilities felt very authentic and added to the experience of our wonderful Japanese-style room.

It’s a perfect spot to see Mt. Fuji, with several beautiful hiking trails nearby. It also has a private onsen. The staff are very cordial, and the cats are adorable.

This was such a cool location situated next to Lake Yamanakako. The staff are super nice and helpful, plus there are also three very cute cats roaming around the lobby area :) They cats occasionally like to visit the dining area so you can chill with them while having breakfast or just relaxing. Overall, this place had a really nice warm vibe. Our room had a view of Mt Fuji. It was a Japanese-style room with futons you lay out yourself and put away during the day. The toilets and sink area are shared, and the bathrooms have to be booked in advance. You basically just have to inform the reception when you'd like to book the bathroom for during the day, and you're given a 1-hour block to yourself. The bathroom itself is really nice though - kinda like a private onsen with a showering area and a giant bathtub to relax in after.

1) Location. Waking distance to the lake shore and village center (Information, convenience store, cafe, bus stop) 2) Clean rooms and facilities 3) Breakfast option. The only alternative is a cafe 2 minutes away, but the choice is mostly tea/coffee, desserts and cakes - great for an interim bite, but may be insufficient to prepare oneself for a long eventful day on the lakeside where cafes are not waiting on every 100 meters 4) Host. Very friendly, helpful and considerate. Thank you very much 5) Cats. Helping to crate a homey atmosphere, especially if it is pouring cold rain outside (our case), and not just Fuji, but even the opposite lake shore is hardly visible. Only cats could comfort...

This is a wonder place in an amazing location They may have limited English but the owners a warm and friendly and do a great job of making you feel at home. The cars are awesome too.

“A real gem”

WE WOKE UP AND SAW FUJI FROM THE ROOM! Super friendly and patient hosts. Loved our tatami and futon room (#203 - see pic for view). Excellent facilities - shared bathrooms, but you select the time you want to soak in the evening, and have it to yourself. Friendly kitties. Eclectic decor. Free coffee and tea in cafe room. Excellent handmade soba restaurant nearby for lunch, but be aware that many restaurants within walking distance close in the afternoon. The 7-11 becomes best option for a combini dinner :) Nearby trails for walks and cycling. Would have loved a longer stay. We got up at 5 am and were treated to clear, cloudless views of Fuji.

Very convenient location, several minutes’ walk to Hirano Beach. The host is extremely friendly, help us to plan the route to Kamakura and reserve the taxi. Have free cafe in the canteen, also provide breakfast for a fee. Also have two cute cats :)
