“Perffect Location”
Very nice hotel run by Japan Rail, so much in the style of other Hotel Metropolitans for example like the one in Sendai. Location is perfect direct access from the hotel to the station. Staff very pleasant and professional reception staff spoke good English. Highly recommended.

“Very convenient stay and friendly employees”
Even though the hotel is literally located inside Yamagata main station, it was extremely quiet. The only thing I could hear was hushed voices of other guests when I had the AC turned on. But even though I am very noise sensitive and a bad sleeper, I could still sleep through the night excellently and did not hear a single train! The main tower is smoke-free, also I didn't even smell smoke when doing laundry in the south tower. The employees were very nice, they even gave me a more quiet room far away from the elevator. There are many amenities inside the room, even bath salts for taking a bath. Since it's located in the train station you can reach everything immediately - the very nice Kayo from the tourist information who can take calls in Japanese for you, all the trains and busses, a Konbini and a drugstore. The beds are hard, which I loved as it's good for your back. I really enjoyed my stay there!

“High standard professional hotel.”
High end hotel with a great level of professional service. Rooms were immaculate - clean and modern with very comfortable beds. I left something behind in my room and they returned it to me - thanks so much. Very good English.

“Grand hotel stay”
It’s very central (actually in the train station). There was a parking elevator garage to the left (drive under the hotel wing building) and a drop off driveway to unload bags. The bed was comfy and probably the best pillows this trip. The corner room gave great views of the downtown and also the mountains. The room felt spacious.

“Good choice if you value location proximity to train station.”
Location is excellent- right in the centre of the train and bus stops ( to Ginzan Onsen and Zao Mountain ). In the height of winter and snowy weather and cold, this is life saving. Room size is comfortable - not cramped.
