“Amazing glamping”

I loved everything about this stay. We stayed in a glamping tent in the middle of the jungle! It was very quiet and relaxing. The hosts cooked us amazing curries and even took us on a walk through the jungle! The pets were also very cute. We loved seeing wildlife from our tent eg lizards, birds, squirrels and frogs.

this is an exceptional place to stay for someone who wants to take things slow and get close to nature. Nero was so kind and tells you lots of things about the plants of the jungle and sri lankan food. a favourite thing was the outside shower. the main campsite hang out area is lovely to spend time in.

“A true hidden gem in the jungle of Yala”

We had an absolutely magical stay at Campers Lodge Yala over Christmas (December 23–25). The lodge is located in the jungle and accessible by jeep (text the place and they will arrange pick-up from the nearest road) or by scooter, which makes the experience even more special. We were warmly welcomed and upgraded to the jungle tree hut, even though we booked a tent. The view was incredible and with the chance of spotting elephants or a leopard (!!) The stay is authentic, simple and beautifully primitive - a place where nature comes first and distractions fade away. The host, Nero, helped us arrange a Yala safari, and on Christmas Day we went fishing with the two young guys who work there, followed by bunfire and the best meal we had in Sri Lanka, made from the fish we caught ourselves. Our first Christmas away from our big family turned into an unforgettable experience and new friends for life. Come with an open heart, and you will receive a thousand times back ❤️

We were offered to stay in a lovely tree house, overlooking the jungle. Such a peaceful and green place with wildlife everywhere around you. The staff was so kind, polite, very helpful and offered us very delicious food and so much coffee. Couldn't have expected anything better!

Amazing place in the middle of nothing. Very quiet. Great helpful host prepared us tasty BBQ dinner (15$/person).

“Affordable Yala camping.”

beautiful treehouse, incredible staff, I was very lucky to be upgraded to the treehouse at no extra charge. Had the most incredible BBQ sitting alone by a lovely wood fire,the food was great. I was lucky enough to have a visitor on my treehouse within the first couple of hours,a beautiful snake just enjoying the sun, I also had many birds around me and a wild rabbit hung around in the scrub just below me.At night I heard something moving around in the bush but unfortunately it was too dark to see but from the sound it was probably an elephant. The room and bathroom were clean. Highlight was the outdoor shower.This place is for nature lovers but don't expect luxury glamping, it's very reasonable price for what you get.Highly recommend.

“Bring your own food... & only stay if not scared of jungle critters!”

A guy that works there called Oscar was lovely. Location is middle of the jungle, which is an experience, and the owner will help you organise safaris and drivers which was nice.

“Camping in the wild with luxury”

First of all the ride to the Lodge is amazing. It feels like a safari on it''s own. We booked a tent but when we got there the owner gave us a room upgrade for free so we slept in this magical very cool tree house. At night you can watch the wild and sometimes elephants come to visit. Also the stuff is so incredibly nice! It was the most special accommodation we had in our whole time travelling Sri Lanka.

“Wow”

It’s an excellent place to stay and it’s in the middle of the jungle and the experience was amazing. Especially thanks to Oscar (a young staff) was a nice guy with positive attitude.

Very bad, location also bad, room was shit, washroom shit everything wasted our Money

They were so kind and helpful. We felt taking care off. The location is very unique, right in the jungle. We saw a wild elephant in the morning leaving the campsite. The BBQ was delicious, and the campfire was so cosy.

Remote location, middle of nothing. Staff was great, also delicious dinner and breakfast. We got “upgraded” to the tree house, which was nice , but be prepared to noises when it is windy.

“Gem in the jungle”

We enjoyed every second in this lodge and regreted only arriving in the evening. The property is surrounded by jungle and the views are incredible. Oskar, Niro and the rest of the team did an incredible job. They were the most accommodating hosts we experienced in a long time. The dinners at the campfire, the treehouse (which we were upgraded to for free) and the walking safari all were incredible. The jeep safari and the taxi transports Niro organised for us were perfect as well.

“Another unforgettable visit”

This is true wild life experience for people who dont look any hilton style accomodations. For peoples who want to have and be close to a nature without feeling unsafe. Niro, Oska and rest of staff is doing so great job that you can easilly just rest like after safaris etc. Food is more that great. Big hand to Oska for that. These guys really knows what they are doing.:) This was my second time in Campers lodge
