“Not as advertised”

What a shame about this. It was very very off road and when we got there, one lone ‘tent’, not part of a bigger site. Very isolated and very run down - nothing close to luxury. Holes in the mosquito net, mice in bathroom. It was camping in the very basic sense. We couldn’t stay there and found a luxury resort with pool for the same price. However the owner was very helpful and his staff took us to find somewhere else.

“Disappointing”

Great location, very friendly staff and good dinner. We left one night earlier because we were not happy with the state of the accommodation. The level of service, support and understanding we received following our cancellation was excellent and outstanding. Thank you.

The owner is very nice and tries the best to fill the requirements. Nice wild experience. The bed size is large.

Lovely father and sun running this camp. The dinner was amazing and the hospitality is next level.

Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine from a master chef who was ready to explain all about the ingredients. Early morning tea was happily provided on request. The friendly warmth of the staff for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. Wonderful location in nature.

My time at Podi Hoona Luxury Bush Camp was absolutely great. From the food , to accommodation was absolutely perfect, The chefs food was the best i ate on my trip. The staff organised me a game drive at Yala National Park which I was lucky to witness the magnificent Sri Lankan Leopard, Sloth bear many elephants and many bird species. Its the ideal place to be in the wild.

Excellent quality of fresh local foods, luxury bed, toilet and shower in large spacious tent. Located in beautiful countryside/ edge of jungle, wildlife abundance, rich in sound and sight. Beautiful star light skies and fire flies, a perfect place for yoga and meditation, Ravi is an excellent teacher and it truly was a magical stay, thank you to all lovely staff who made me feel so taken care of, I cannot wait to come back !
