The property is located in a beautiful area, we watched monkeys, squirrels and many different types of birds from our room. The room itself was great, AC and very comfortable. The staff made us feel very welcome and were very keen to make sure our 9 month old baby had everything she needed which was really appreciated. The pool area at the property was lovely and a great spot to relax after an early morning safari. One of our highlights was the evening meal on the veranda, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great. We only stayed for one night here but would have loved to have stayed for longer!

The room was clean and bed comfortable. Pool was nice relief after long drive. Also watching the wildlife as relaxed. Dinner was good.

We had a wonderful stay at Kele Yala! The property is beautifully located amidst lush greenery and forest surroundings, making it the perfect escape for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The pool is definitely a highlight — surrounded by trees, it feels serene and almost magical. The staff were extremely polite, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. We visited to celebrate our anniversary, and the team truly went out of their way to make it special. They arranged a cake, did a lovely surprise setup, and even played our favorite songs — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! Another big plus is the location — it’s very close to one of the entrances of Yala National Park, which makes it very convenient for safaris. Would definitely recommend Kele Yala if you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway with warm hospitality.

“Paradise”

We recently stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Sri Lanka trip and were blown away. The room was immaculate and felt very luxury, and the grounds were beautiful and filled with wildlife (birds and lizards mainly). It gave a true feeling of been in nature, and was very tranquil, a welcome contrast to the busier parts of our trip. To add to that, our hosts, Dissa and crew, were incredible - attentive, friendly and always more than happy to help. They were all a true credit to Kele Yala, and made our stay even more enjoyable. Would not think twice about recommending Kele Yala. An easy 5*.

“Wonderful, with Yala National Park exceeding our expectations!”

Kele Yala is a wonderful safari style sanctuary close to Yala National Park's Galge gate. The rooms are beautifully appointed to give you that tented feel, and the birdlife in camp is truly incredible. The infinity pool and whole pool area is so cleverly designed to give you privacy yet look out into the tree canopies. Having run safari's in Africa ourselves it was fantastic to have the most brilliant driver/guide for our all-day safari called Shanka. He was great fun, incredibly knowledgeable and had the eyes of an eagle. So if you have to opportunity, do ask for Shanka! Breakfasts and dinners are served in the spacious dinning tent. The curries are wonderful, cooked by a very good chef, but one portion is definitely enough for two people! Picnic breakfasts and lunches are provided for your full day safari in the park otherwise there is no lunch provided in camp.

- Great location for accessing Yala National park - 20-30 minute drive to main gate - Kind, attentive staff who made our stay unforgettable. Attention to detail was superb and they went out of their way to make a wonderful birthday cake for my partner on short notice. It was hugely appreciated AND delicious! - Fabulous food, great breakfast. Packed food for our full day safari trip was fantastic. - Kele organised our full day safari - it was a tad on the expensive side but our guide was brilliant and we had a brilliant day. - Clean, very comfortable rooms with no creepy crawlies!

Great location, can organise a Safari in advance whereby you are collected at the hotel and it’s not far from the Yala National Park. The food was incredible, room were very clean and nice bathroom. Host were very attentive.

“Unique experience near to Yala National Park.”

We booked a 2 night stay fullboard, with a half day safari arranged by them, on the morning of the safari we were picked up at 5.30am and provided with a packed lunch, it lasted about 4 hours, and we had an excellent guide. The resort is very peaceful, with a nice swimming pool and very comfortable bed. Our meals were provided at a time that suited us, all food was delicious, with unlimited water, a nicer selection of drinks would be better..

“A nice Jungle resort..”

It is a jungle type resort situated about 1 km off the main road in a wooded area. There are about 5 rooms. The rooms are great and very well equipped. Dissa was the resident manager and he took very good care of us. We were on half board and the dinner was fabulous. Its a very green resort. No wifi (off line is the new luxury philosophy) but mobile data connectivity was very good. Since we had an early morning safari, we were given a packed breakfast.

“Trie Safari experience”

Great location for exploring Yala national park as well as feeling like your safari experience has started the moment you arrived. Would definitely recommend booking full board as there is nothing around and the food is delicious and very generous portions. Very nice to also have a pool to cool off.

“A great getaway in nature”

The staff were amazing and met all of our needs. They were very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The food was outstanding and gave us a choice each day on what we would like. It was very refreshing to not have wifi and be able to unwind and take in the amazing scenior and be able to listen to the nature. The room was so spacious and decorated beautifully. Jerome organised our private safari which was great as we had nothing to do only turn up at the time organised. We couldnt have asked for any more. 5 star

“11/10 wonderful!!!!”

Everything - the staff are SO kind, especially Anura who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The food was exceptional, we echo all of the other reviews saying it is the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and clean. We loved Kele and will be back!
