“a beautiful jungle retreat”

the property was beautiful, very secluded and private with a real authentic jungle feel. the staff really are the highlight of this property, on hand 24/7 for anything you need, always going above and beyond. there was also a lot of extras included in the price we didn’t know about - free drinks, discounted food, free minibar and lots of amenities. we did a full day safari with a naturalist, which, to be honest, was very expensive, but we felt it justified after getting the head naturalist of the resort who was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my millions of questions - he is a real asset to the resort and made our safari experience super special.

We loved the lodge with its own deck, a short stroll to the lovely beach, the staff were friendly and very attentive, nice elevated pool area. Chef was willing to anything special if wanted and always ensuring the food was to our liking.

Everything was exceptional - the staff, the property, the location, the food, the animal visitors. The food was the best we experienced in Sri Lanka by far and having the ability to visit the bigger sister hotel whenever we needed a change of scenery was perfect. We travelled with a 6mo baby and it was very suitable.

Amazing property and luxury experience at jungle lodge. Fantastic food and chef was keen to make sure our favourite foods were incorporated in the menus as well as providing a huge picnic breakfast on the morning of our safari. Staff were attentive and friendly keen to provide good hospitality in particular in the restaurant Wathsala who took time to teach us some Sinhalese and Imanka. All of the reception staff in particular our staff member who drove us safely to our accommodation were extremely helpful. The accommodation was spacious and stunning with complimentary items from the minibar and some laundry completed for free. The pool was to die for along with the complimentary cocktails and arrival nibbles provided for us . The beach front location was stunning and we looked forward to the regular visits from the resident elephant A fabulous stay and I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Honest Review The location and the staff were wonderful. Everyone was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The surroundings were lovely, with plenty of animals around, which made the experience feel very special. The hotel is also conveniently located close to the beach and near Entrance No. 1 for the safari. They even prepared a very nice breakfast pack for us, which we really appreciated. Everything was superb, especially the room. It was outstanding, very cosy, and beautifully designed.

“Unbelievable stay”

What a hotel !!! As soon as we arrived we were treated like royalty. Nothing is too much trouble , we had a lodge and it was huge , immaculate and the comfiest bed we have stayed in . We did not lift a finger . They served us breakfast on our balcony . And you can use the facilities of the neighbouring jetwing . But nice to go back to your lodge in the peace of nature. They rang us when the local elephant was paying a visit in the hotel grounds which was amazing !! Safari was well organised. Saw everything. The pool was amazing also . Loved it book it !

“Extraordinary luxury stay - like nowhere else.”

I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this. Set behind the sand-dunes of a beach with strong edge-of-the-world vibes, gorgeous lodge rooms with great attention to detail, attentive staff, great food and a rooftop infinity pool that touches the jungle canopy. And wildlife abounds. Wild Elephants (we saw them every morning) deer, langurs, cows, civets and more. It’s adjacent to the Jetwing Yala and use of their pool, restaurants and rooftop sunset lounge are included. The Jungle Lodge is so special though. Shameem and his team looked after us so well. I would return in a heartbeat. Truly amazing.

“Adventurous”

The room was in a lovely setting. Staff was excellent. As we were a family and we’re short on time, I called before I reached the hotel to order our lunch so that we could immediately leave for the safari and it was ready and well taken care of . Mr. Ramesh Buddika organised all we needed most efficiently.

I absolutely loved my cabin! So comfortable and super spacious. Loved having such a large balcony to relax on. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Would return in a heartbeat!
