Nice location just outside the port, easy acess to bus stops and supermarkets which you can buy food and cook. All facilities though not new are enough for use. Good maintenance of the bathroom and the public places. AC in the room is nice, cozy bed after a day hiking. Love the place!

One of the best places to stay I have ever been. Highly recommend, they had everything what was needed.

“Great sharehouse in Miyanoura Yakushima”

- The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the ferry port at Miyanoura. It’s also really close to the Yakushima Museum, which I definitely recommend checking out. - The WiFi was surprisingly fast and reliable - My room was a good size and came with a comfy futon and air conditioning - There are two showers, so even with other guests staying there, I didn’t have to wait long to use them. - The owner was amazing! They spoke excellent English and took the time to explain everything in detail, which was super helpful. - For how affordable it was, the quality really exceeded my expectations.

Perfect location, it had everything and was clean. They let me drop my bags off early in the morning so I could make the most of the day.

Very convenient location near the port, bus and market. Efficient facilities with lrivate rooms. The free laundry machine and racks to dry the clothes were a nice addition

Convenient next to the ferry and not too expensive.

The location is perfect to drop off your bags from the ferry and start exploring withon minutes off arriving. Its the closest guesthouse to the big ferry from Kagoshima. Its also the lowest price guest house I found. Its an old japanese style guesthouse so dont be suprised that there is no actual bed or a couch/chair in the room. But I actually found it quite comfortable to sleep on the thin matress on the nice floor and had a great sleep.

Location was walking distance from the port. Parking space available. Kitchen is available as well, with a grocery store walking distance!

It’s great property close to the port so if you have a early ship to catch it’s a great place to stay

Second time stay with Nodoka🥰❤️ Half-year later visit, they still maintain the high standard of service and hospitality👍🏻which made me definitely choose to stay with Nodoka next time whenever I came to Yakushima. Convenient location if you travel by ferry🛳️.

the whole place only has 5 rooms, with 2 showers and a womens and mens toilet. ( that could have been an issue is it was fully booked while I was there. ) The kitchen is also a squeeze, but I am always happy to cook in a place that has a real stove/micro/toaster oven/rice cooker/lots of dishes/freezer ( plus my room had its own little refer ). The bus stop is one block away, and the visitors center/museum ( don't miss! ) is next door. Ferry port across the street. Great a/c, but can slide the window and have screened view of the rain, too, for a change. Love the western heighth bed and little table and lounge type seating area. Fabulous grocery store one block away.

Traditional, quiet, cosy, comfortable, central. Host was very informative and spoke great English.

It was very close to the port and the visitor center so it’s perfect for tourists who do not have a car. The bathrooms were always very clean even though they are shared.
