Overview
Apollo Resort is located right on the white sand beaches of Yakushima Island’s north-east coast. Rooms include a sofa and private bathroom, and open directly onto a terrace overlooking the sea. The Western-style rooms at Apollo Resort Marine Blue Yakushima are air-conditioned, and includes a tea maker inside the room. Each has beach and ocean views. The simply furnished rooms have multiple windows to let in plenty of natural light. The hotel is a 40-minute drive from Miyanoura Harbour, Yakusugi Museum and Yakushima Fruit Garden. Yakushima Airport is an 80-minute drive. On-site parking is free. Local specialities are served at the hotel’s dining room for breakfast and dinner.

“Super relaxing. Superb Japanese hospitality in a very quiet and beautiful part of Yakushima”
The food was really imcredible - so many delicious Japanese dishes for dinner and breakfast. Only 4 guest room and each looks out onto the sea. Staff were superb especially the 81 year old working manager who is so sweet! No one speaks English there although our group speak Japanese. We used this as a base to do the 30KM Jomon Sugi (cedar) hike to one of the world's oldest trees - some 7000 years old. Tough hike in light rain and slippery in places but well worth it.

“A perfect stay in a wonderfully idyllic location!”
The location was amazing, overlooking Inakahama - the most beautiful, white, sandy beach. Our room was very clean, and with a fabulous view. Our hosts were excellent - we managed to overcome the language barrier using Google translate, to very good effect. They provided us with a wonderful evening meal, and a tasty Western-style breakfast, upon request. We were very lucky to see a turtle taking her eggs at night - we made sure to be very unobtrusive and resisted the temptation of photographing her. A beautiful experience! We wish we had stayed an extra day to further enjoy the stunning beach and lovely food!

“Perfect location, perfect food. Hire a car & be amazed at this island.”
An absolutely beautiful location. The lovely older woman who operates this place could also be a professional chef of the highest order!! I would recommend paying the extra for the dinner & breakfast package, you will enter into a food coma the likes of which you have never encountered. The first meal on arrival was something to behold!

Excellent location, the hotel is very close to the beach and to the bus stop, and the accommodation is very confty and pretty. The owner is super nice, I highly recommend this place.
