The host of was brilliant. When I arrived he ended up driving me to see some of the sites around the island including waterfalls. He also took me to the store so I could get some food. Upon checking out the lovely cleaning lady let me stay put as I wasn’t feeling well at all and said she would clean my room later. The shared bathroom wasn’t at all a problem and actually the set up felt like a home rather than a hotel. Thanks so much for having me.

Location is excellent, really close to Anbo port, and perfect location by Anbo bus stop, perfect for those seeking to get to Shizenkan-Arakawa early in the morning (to climb to Jomon Sugi). They provided me with lunch and breakfast bento for my trip to Jomon Sugi. It's also perfect for restaurants, there are a bunch within a 5 minute walk, and about 10 minutes to the local supermarket. They also gave me bubble bath for the giant bath.

“Japanese hospitality at it’s best”

Fantastic and very helpful owner who took care of us in every possible way. Well located guesthouse with beautiful western style interior, spacious and comfortable rooms with all amenities. Bathrooms always fresh & clean incl. showers & jacuzzi. Complimentary breakfast was very much appreciated and so was the drop off at the airport. If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay at in Yakushima, look no further, La Isla Tasse is the one. Thank you so much for your kindness & hospitality, it’s been a great pleasure meeting you :)

The house is perfectly located within walking distance from the ferry terminal and the main bus routes. The host was helpful in giving us recommendations for restaurants and ordering bento boxes.

The staff were absolutely wonderful so friendly and incredibly helpful when we forgot to order a taxi after our rental car hire drop off the proprietor offered us a lift to the ferry port that was so kind

Yakushima is meant for walks in nature. The accomodation is a very good starting point, and ideal or recuperation after a long walk.

The host was extremely kind and helpful! Coming to Yakushima without a car makes traveling around challenging but he helped me manage the buses so I managed to see all key sites.

“A wonderful hotel in yakushima”

Everything is perfect! From the staff to the facilities and the location, nothing negative. The owner is very helpful, he helped us when we were having the issue with the flight tickets, and he even gave us a ride to the airport. And a very good breakfast for free! The jacuzzi is a good idea after hiking for more than 10 hours! The location is excellent, very good restaurants nearby, and the supermarket is not far away. Close to the Anbo port, the bus stop is also few minutes away.

This charming and well-maintained inn is located about 1 kilometer from Anbo Port Station - an easy walking distance. If taking the bus, simply get off at the "Anbo" stop. The inn features beautiful garden-style European architecture with exceptionally clean rooms, bathrooms, and shower facilities. The owner offers delicious pre-ordered breakfast and lunch packages perfect for hikers（cash payed） For those planning to hike to 绳文杉 Jōmon Sugi (the famous cedar tree), it's just two bus stops to the Nature Museum, making it very convenient. The inn boasts a gorgeous waterfront location with docks that resemble a peaceful inland lake. Nearby you'll find restaurants and a tasty burger shop

“Fantastic Owner and Staff!”

The owner and staff were absolutely fantastic. The owner help us figure everything out for a next day's trek to Jomon Sugi. And day after that one of his staff took us to the airport to help us rent a car. They truly go above and beyond and the property is also very nice. Lot's of tasty izakayas around.

“Nice place for a couple of days”

Beautiful location within easy access to local buses that can take you anywhere. Very nice European style house. As always in Japan, staff are exceptionally helpful and gentle. Thanks a million. The only problem is that there are no rooms with private bathrooms. In fact, there are only two toilets and two bathrooms for the entire floor of 7 or 8 rooms. Thank Goodness there were only 3 other rooms occupied at the time we were there.

“Excellent Guest House”

Great location next to the river, a few mins to the bus stop and 10-15 mins to other areas of Anbo. The guy running the guest house was extremely friendly. The single room had a small double bed which was a pleasant surprise. The spa baths were also a nice touch given there are no hot springs in Anbo.

The host was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. He was extremely helpful with local knowledge and organising activities, that ensured I was comfortable and had everything that I needed.

“A relaxing stay”

It’s a very tasteful building and the interior is beautifully decorated. The owner did a great job making the guests’ stay as convenient and comfortable as possible. There are 2 big jacuzzi and showers (as well as toilets). I came here after 3 days of trekking in the mountains and this place was heavenly. It really felt like a proper vacation. The female staff who greeted me was a kind-hearted and accommodating person who explained everything to me. Her breakfast was absolutely yummy! Thank you so much, my tired body could rest thanks to you! I’d like to come here again next time 🥰
