The placw is lovely ! Hiro-san is a great host ! The dormitory was clean and confortable. It has a great common kitchen and little covered terrace!

Extremely clean and friendly. The host speaks very good English and is so welcoming 😊

It was a cute little guesthouse and the kitchen area was great because you could buy food, drinks and meet lots of people, you could even cook your own food too!

Lovely location close to waterfalls and bus stops! Really affordable and clean with spacious dorms and comfortable beds. Laundry and bike hire available. Lovely diverse mix of other travellers.

I just loved my stay there! The host was very helpful. He helps plan hikes, book bentos for lunch or speed boat tickets if needed. Everything is very clean. If you haven't bought food before getting there, you will find cup noodles and curry available to buy there.

The host is very helpful! He will help you plan your hikes or help you book a speed boat ticket which had to do because the ferry was cancelled. The kitchen is very well equipped and allows you to spend wonderful nights with the other guests.

The owner was very helpful with suggestions on things to do. The Guesthouse was really cosy and comfortable and the facilities were really good. In a beautiful location and close to the bus stop.

I was really happy to meet so many friends from all over the world here, especially during New Year’s. Thanks to the guesthouse for creating such a clean, chill space where time just slows down. Would definitely come back!

“Peaceful and lovely guesthouse”

We stayed for three nights on Yakushima at the Guest House. We really enjoyed our stay, it was easy to find even though we were using the buses, and the owner was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms equipped with airconditioning. The bathrooms and toilets were always clean. We made use of the kitchen every night and we had everything we needed. The location itself is very peaceful and serene and we were visited by monkeys in the morning. If I could change anything, it would have been nice to have a sofa or something in the common room that provided more comfortable seating. Anyways the stay was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Perfect place, behind the bridge but close to the river. Very modern real wood interiors, nice cosy and friendly atmosphere. Many ready made meals available for purchase and preparation in well equiped kitchen. Owner/caretaker speaks very good English and can give valuable advice.

“Affordable and comfortable guesthouse in the heart of Yakushima!”

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. The beds were especially comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with nice instant coffee and food available for purchase. Everyone we met was very nice, and the owner provided great recommendations for our trip! And of course, the location was convenient and felt very woodsy.

If you know Yakushima, and you have no question, just book and come, please don't consider my comment. My words only concern the email exchange I got with the owner, not the house itself.

The beds are big and comfy. Comon area has everything you need.
