Host was friendly, offering helpful advice for things to do in Yakushima. The room was spacious and clean, and I really enjoyed the bath after a day of hiking.

Great location even if you don’t have a car, the bus stop is just around the corner. The room was better than expected. Very cozy and clean! The laundry service is very close too. It was perfect

Located near the bus stop 62 if you don't have a car. Also well located to hike the Arakawa trail, I was able to take the first bus without problems. You can also order bento for the trail the day before if you want to, which is super convenient. Also located near a supermarket and the main town, if you want to buy supplies or eat in a local restaurant. It was super clean and super comfortable.

“Rest and recovery before hiking!”

Huge space to unpack and replace hiking bags, excellent bento delivery service, comfortable beds and free parking. Even has a mini kitchen! Very close to a good coin laundry and the A-Coop, as well as a number of restaurants (but recommend booking in advance). Our host was also super knowledgeable and helpful and provided advice on hikes based on the weather (your weather app will trick you - trust the locals).

Very good option as Cottage Kutsuroki are standalone bungalows so no noise issues at all. Extra convenience of car parked right at door, easy to load suitcases etc. Very good well stocked kitchen and finally, after days of thin futon beds, nice to have “normal” mattress beds to sleep on! Good heating. Nice shower and bath adequate. Very good location at Anbo
