Overall, it's a nice hotel. Everything is new and clean, comfortable big bed, big room, hot water in a shower. A/C is quiet, nice TV. There are gate and some parking space. Bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

“Jus a place to put your head for the night, not really a destination, but suited our needs”
This was just a stop over for us so we didn’t expect much for the money. The room was simple but clean and comfortable.the host let us out some beers in his fridge and recommended a restaurant ( which we couldn’t find) but we still found a great local taco place and had a great meal

“Avontuurlijke Accomodatie”
We stayed one night in this camping after visiting Calakmul and were very warm welcomed ,the owner showed us the monkeys that were settling to sleep in the trees right above our tent , we woke up with their roaring , much nicer then an alarm clock The tents had real comfortable beds and were underneath a roof , with good mosquito netting . We slept beautiful among all these wildlife animals . Their is a little 1-2 km trail in the jungle that you can walk by yourself, really recommended if you like small wild life (birds , insects , salamander, etc) The family restaurant down the road is very good and recommended. The mother cooks very nice meals for a very economical price , all freshly cooked. If you can, talk to the father (you have to speak Spanish ) and he will tell you more about the family history, how they try to fight for eco tourism and how they try to show that tourism and preserving the jungle can go hand in hand , and what impact the Maya train and big new hotel has on the local community. It’s here that we discovered a local appetitive called xtabentun (liquer of anise and honey ), we loved it and bought some bottles later on to take home

“A good option for visiting Calakmul”
Room was huge and very clean. It is clear the owners take real pride in their property. Shower pressure good with plenty of hot water The shared fridge/ freezer in the reception area was really useful so we could store lunch for next day’s drive to Calakmul. Staff lovely and communication before arriving was great. Hotel is on a side road so away from traffic noise - just a few chickens! Food options limited in the town but some small good value family run restaurants across the road. Plenty of parking options.

“Clean and convenient. Nothing fancy but a great stopover.”
We were grateful for secure parking and the roof top deck was a rustic highlight.

“A good place to stay for exploring the Mayan ruins.”
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, sorting taxi to Calakamul (including 3 hour wait and return) and also giving us a free lift to the bus station on our departure.

We did not stay there. They most likely went in overbooking and redirected us in a different place. This place was really really bad. It appeared to be reopened just a few days before, it was dirty and full of mold

“Adequate”
This a basic, no-frills hotel. It was acceptably comfortable. The A/C worked well (which is critical). The location is away from the main street which has incessant noisy traffic and dust and this is one of the few hotels in town that avoids these issues. Off-street parking in a gated yard so the car was safe. There is a communal fridge in the lobby for your cold drinks and snacks.

“Decent Hotel but now is not the time to go to Xpujil or Calakmul!”
The room was very large and the bathroom had hot water. The staff or the girl at reception wasn't very informative/helpful but I think she may have been new. When I asked about a colectivo to Calakmul she called the owner lady who came over and gave me a number to call. When I called the guy who said he was from Ruta Calakmul, he was very helpful and arranged for the Colectivo to come and collect the following day at 7am.
