We liked the secluded location and the jungle noises at night. It was spacious, decorated with real local art and had 2 decks.

The restaurant was very good and the employees were nice. The cottages are surrounded by the jungle and we saw various animals like a coati, a grey fox, a small deer, a hummingbird, and other various colourful birds. There is air conditioning.

“Nicely situated in the jungle on the edge of town”

We really enjoyed our two night stay. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The cabins are arranged with lots of space for privacy and tucked nicely into the jungle, providing a great experience of nature. The on-site restaurant was adequate but not outstanding and the included breakfast was filling. The birding opportunities here were quite good and we were able to find 30-40 species in the few hours we spent on the property, with great views of White-bellied Emerald and Black-headed Trogon. We also saw an Agouti in the forest near the restaurant! There is a short trail at the back of the property as well and we saw a stream of leaf-cutter ants there. This was a decent base for our visit to Calakmul and I would highly recommend a stay here!

“Great place close to nature”

The care they took to protect the nature and the attention of the staff. It was a nice place where you could actually hear the birds.

Jungle atmosphere, nice vibe

Toucans, monkeys, flora. The personal is very sweet and helping. If you want an immersion in the jungle, have a stay there.

The staff was very lovely and the place was nothing less than spectacular. We had a very pleasant night surrounded by nature.

“Quiet repose in the nature”

These guest houses are located off a main road in a natural preserve, so it is very quiet and beautiful. our chalet was spacious and cozy. Drinking water and the fridge were also provided. Also, the restaurant is very decent, especially the barbecue. For a day trip to the ruins, you can order a to-go lunch.

“A relaxing stay in the middle of the jungle”

I particularly liked the peaceful location in the middle of the jungle. It was really easy to relax there. Adequate protection against mosquitoes was also provided. I felt really comfortable.

Located outside the town of Xpujil, in the middle of nature, but not too far off of the road. A perfect stop to rest after a long day driving and visiting Calakmul. Evening dinner and next day breakfast were basic but very tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly too

The facility is located in a jungle (forest). It has a very atmospheric atmosphere. The service is efficient and good. The food in the restaurant is good. If someone wants to travel and explore the country, it's great. I wouldn't recommend it to those who love the fairground atmosphere of Cancun. However, I suspect they'll never make it here.

Friendly owner and clean

A nice environment of the jungle, so it it’s not surprising that you should expect insects getting in. The cottage was well maintained and equipped with many tips for activities around. A tasty breakfast package prepared in the morning as we left early.

Very nice setting right in the middle of the jungle. Super nice staff!

We had a great time in Eco Aldea kinich Ahau. It feels like you are right in the middle of the jungle, and is a great base for exploring Calakmul and other nearby Maya sites. Overall, a great experience.

The house is big, and in a nice environnement. The restaurant is really good. We slept there before going to calakmul, it was perfect.

Our room with terrace in the midst of the forest was great! The host drove with us to show the way, the restaurant had a great menu and we felt excellent there. In the morning I saw a little fox just outside our room.

“Nice spacious cottages”

The cottage was really spacious and nice. A little bit out of town - we've chosen it because in most of the hotels we had found reviews complying about noise of truck building train Maya - here it was quite ok even though it's close to the Xpujil station. There was hammock in the terrace and mosquito nets in all the windows. With the frente frío hot shower was more than appreciated:) daily cleaning which we didn't expect.
