“Great overnight stop”

Great staff, particularly the evening waiter and the lady who served breakfast, which , by the way was very comprehensive and very good. Bed very comfy .

The welcome and extra care of the staff during our stay was outstanding. We could not have asked for more. The food is excellent at breakfast and dinner which is also born out by a busy restaurant nearly every night. Comfy bed.

“Good value, highly recommended”

I arrived by bicycle and was made very welcome - a garage was made available to store the bike. There is a popular and good quality Greek restaurant which is the main focus of the establishment. I had a pleasant meal eating in the open air (it was a warm evening). The accommodation is fairly basic, but is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb with too much to eat and I was offered a bag to take the surplus away. Xanten is a pleasant 5km cycle ride away and well worth a visit.

“Short bike stop”

The staff were totally amazing. Offered use of their washing machine because we are on an extended bike tour. Lovely dinner and incredible breakfast. Lovely place and lovely people.

“Great place for anyone, but especially cyclists”

Genuinely welcoming staff. I came in soaked from my bike ride. They brought me a drink while I filled in th registration details. There was a secure garage for my bike. Rooms above a non tourist bar/ resto. I can't comment on the quality of the food, cos I was srarving, but there was a lot of it and it was not expensive and I enjoyed it. The barlady gave me a snapps for eating all the mixed grill. The waiter brought me a snapps for drinking the first snapps. For the price the room was absolutely fine. Unusually, you could also control the heating.

Very nice staff and clean.....excellent location for returning to Ijmuiden for our ferry back to Newcastle which was only 2 hours away and allowed us a leisurely ride to port... We will stay again and they have assured us the refurbishment will be complete by December 2022 so will look at returning at end of next year's tour 🏍😃

Very helpful, friendly and efficient young manager. A family-owned and run place. Pleasant location, very near to the Xantener Nordsee. Excellent free WiFi.

“terrible - no hot drinks no breakfast - they could not serve anything”

perhaps you were aware that the hotel had a fire a few weeks ago - and nobody informed us - never in all my 70 years have I seen anything like it - true the sleeping accommodation was not effective - but the rest was gutted - pictures should you want - no way this hotel could be allowed to open - poor girl in charge did her best and paid for our evening meal - which had to be brought in from local pizza house - I use you all the time and other hotels very good - I don’t think you knew about this - something is wrong - someone not telling all !!!

Charateristic family hotel run by a very nice and welcoming family. Breakfast and dinner are excellent. I spent two nights here to visit Xanten and the excellent Roman museum.

The Beer garden with fine grilled foods! Good location very close to the nature. A seeshore is close to the hotel.
