Good layover hotel situated in Wolfach just around the corner from the high street. Wolfach is lovely definitely motorcycle friendly. Pool was welcome after a hot ride. Not sure what some reviewers want, yes decor is a bit 90's but it's clean and not worn out. Breakfast usual continental style. Parking for cars was tight managed to get bike in and then several more arrived as well.

Wolfach is in the Black Forest and is a lovely little town with a river running through it there are several shops and restaurants. There are plenty of walks in beautiful countryside and would make a good base for a holiday in this area. We liked the hotel, friendly staff and good facilities, there was plenty of choice for breakfast.

The location is very nice and the view from the patio was quite relaxing. The room was clean. The staff was nice, but not as friendly as the other hotels we stayed at.

We asked for an easily accessible room, and were given a room for disabled people, which was actually more than we needed and therefore excellent! The room was spotless with a huge shower and comfortable bed. There are other facilities such as a swimming pool which we did not use. Reasonable breakfast with hot and cold options.

I found some staff were not very welcoming and claimed they could not speak english but later in the day they did to other people. I guess my face did not fit. I requested a room with a garden view by email they claim they did not get email and would not move me so I had a crap view of other flats. I got my laundry done in house for a small fee which was well done and welcoming as I traveled on a motorcycle. Cannot comment on wifi as I did not use it as I had roming data. No staff on site after 17.00 hrs bar closed and no one explained about using key in electric lock. I thought I was locked out on first night. No one answered the mobile emergancy phone, another guest explained. Sauna and swimming pool good and free, makes up for the bad points. Vending machine for beer in this heat wave (30degC), but make sure you have coins as does not take card payment and noone there to give you change. The bar person spoke good english and was very friendly when it was open. Shops and pubs closeby, but are closed mid day and one of the 3 nights I was there the whole town closed because it was too hot in the heatwave, I thought this amusing so used vending machine.

I liked that the staff was very helpful and room was well maintained and clean. I liked the location of the hotel, very close to the restaurants and shops, yet at a sufficient distance not to be bothered by the people coming back after having a loud party. I liked the old-school way how the breakfast is planned, names are labelled on the table and coffee prepared - it's so 1980s but in a positive way! Surroundings are great for hiking, and relaxing moreover there are lots of interesting places to visit in the area and the hotel has a multitude of leaflets to inspire you to that!

Wolfach is a small, very picturesque village, and even though the hotel, is not directly in the center, everything is very easy to reach on foot. The neighborhood is so quiet that you can sleep with open windows without being woken up. The hotel is very clean and suitable for disabled people. However, it is a place targeting the elderly, and not realizing this when booking, we were a bit out of place.

Lady who greeted us spoke no English but we had a laugh whilst miming. Nice walking distance from town. Breakfast was good.
