My partner and I loved how remote it was. The outdoor open air shower was a big hit, even in the cold winter. Everything was very clean and it was well kitted out. There is also a beautiful path in the forest that is a stone's throwaway from the cabin.

“Best experience in nature for stillness”

I love the outside shower and the quiteness in nature.

The definition of cabin in the middle of nowhere in the best sense. It is a rustic cabin, the bathroom is an outdoor one so has its own entrance through the back of the cabin. We had a lovely, private stay with the most beautiful sunsets . Our host Caroline was very nice and helpful. There's a little path you can take through the garden that leads into the forest, and it's magical. You must bring your own supply as the nearest shop is about 20 minutes drive away but it's worth it and you can braai in the fire pit outside. Perfect stay if you're looking to be off the grid but still be close to the Tsisikamma park.

This place is outstanding on all possible positive layers! From the very first sight it was obvious to us that this beautiful cottage is designed and build with much thought and love - it's not too much and not to little, it truly matches the name "Pura Vida"! The living room is so light and spacious and spreads a wonderful warm energy with all the mindfully choosen details. Beds and linen are very comfortable and the surroundings are so peaceful to sleep deeply and waking up fresh. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, so beautiful kitchen ceramics, and on top surprised us with the luxury of delicious cookies, teas and coffee as well as spices and oil. We also truly loved the outdoor bathroom with the shower with mountain views and its beautiful high quality uniqueness. Everything at that place is so very welcoming and provides the perfect base to unwind and enjoy. The outdoor area with the big terrace with an eating area and a very comfortable sofa facing that million dollar mountain view is hard to leave, and in the evenings we enjoyed campfires under the beautiful starry sky lulled in by the sounds of nature. Wandering around in the big garden area is diving in natures abundance. What also makes this place a pure gem is the host Caroline and her family. From the very first minute we felt so warmly welcome and Caroline really goes extra miles for her guests. Thank you so much for your sharing this beautiful space with us, it's truly Pura Vida! Also thank you for everything - all the recommendations that totally met our needs, for providing us with fresh organic vegetables, eggs and taking care of our laundry. You and your place will stay in our hearts!

Amazing location with pure mountain air friendly host who catered to you by being available without invading your privacy. Cosy cabin for basic living with inside fireplace for the cold nights. Stunning mountain views with lovely sunsets and an outdoor bathroom where you can shower under the stars. Close to all activities with pleasant drives and walks through forest plantations. Perfect for a tranquil getaway to restore your spirits and to rest.

The one thing that most definitely stood out for me was the outdoor shower. It was beautiful to just watch the sun-set/rise and be surrounded by nature. The water was also the perfect temperature to not get cold. Caroline and her husband also made the cabin with their own hands and it is amazingly well done. We loved every minute of our stay and would recommend this to every person who loves to have a quiet stay surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Thank you so much for everything

Loved the cosy cottage, especially the fireplace. Very peaceful with a beautiful mountain view. Kids had fun foraging for gooseberries and macadamias.

Very warm hosts, from the time we met them with their friendly dog, the Husband chopped and prepared the food fire for us, oriented for the surrounding area, and morning walk in the forest, and botanical garden listening to bird sounds, catching the sun set amazing mountain vies and having g all te space surrounding the house to ourselves was just amazing

If you are looking for a place to enjoy some peace and quiet: you have found it! This cabin is basic, but has everything you need whilst being in the middle of nature. Showering outdoors or watching the starts when you're in the bathroom, it has it all. We enjoyed the bonfire the hosts made for us when we arrived and even spotted monkeys around the cabin in the morning. I wish we could have stayed here longer!
