This is a beautiful well kept secret. It’s out of the way, so nice and quiet, but easy to walk to downtown Winthrop. We chose the Raven A room in case the weather was inclement, but even when the weather was good, we couldn’t wait to get back and enjoy watching the deer from our balcony where we ate breakfast and dinner. It is such a comfortable beautiful well decorated clean room with a huge bathroom. We met the owner in the afternoons who advised us on great walks and every time we saw her, she asked if there’s anything we needed, which, of course, there wasn’t.

“A very comfortable stay in an attractive little town”
We had a very comfortable room (Grouse). The location of your Inn is very good and Winthrop is an attractive little town. The room was full of light, offering a lot of space, and with a balcony. Furthermore, it had a fine bed and ample facilities (a.o. coffeemaking possibility).

The room was very nice and clean. The garden is lovely with some extra chairs to sit in the sun ir shade. The self check-in was easy and everything was ready when we arrived. There are extra supplies available at the front desk of you need them.

Our wonderful hosts, Bill and Michele, provided a great experience with their attention to detail and the excellent breakfasts Bill provided. Their place was close to Mt. Baker, which we thoroughly enjoyed hiking around. We loved getting to know our hosts as well as all their extended family of pets!

Short walk to the heart of downtown Winthrop, much of it along a dedicated walking path. Mt Gardner Inn owners and staff are very service oriented. COVID protocols continue to be in place with an emphasis on limited contacts when checking in and out. Thank you! Online descriptions were detailed and honest - for example we stayed in a room that was identified as being closer to the highway but that the highway was very quiet overnight…correct on both counts. We were able to sleep with the window open overnight and it was quiet with just the occasional vehicle between 11pm and 7am.
