Overview
Auas Safari Lodge is situated 45 km outside of Windhoek. Guests can explore the wildlife surrounding them on daily game drives, guided hiking trails and bird watching expeditions. Each room features a private terrace and is equipped with tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The private bathroom has a shower. Local cuisine is served in the dining room or out on the patio at Auas. Packed lunches can be arranged and refreshments are served at the bar. Guests can have a refreshing swim in the outdoor swimming pool where they can enjoy the panoramic view of the reserve. Free Wi-Fi is available in the business centre.Transfers to and from the Windhoek Airport can be arranged on request.

“Excellent”
I loved my stay and to be honest the staff made it as amazing as it was. Mildred and Cassie stood out and made our stay superb. We had certain diary requests and they went out of their way to accomodate us. It was a really special experience.

Wonderful place, very close to nature and Windhoek/airport. If you are on a business trip and just have an extra day or two, this is a very nice experience. I saw lots of different animals on the game drive organised by the lodge. It's also very nice to just relax at the lodge, looking at the waterhole where ostriches, guineafowls, waterbucks, and an occasional warthog come by. Lots of birds as well! The staff are super friendly, and the food is nice.

“Great stay”
We stayed for one night. The lodge has a really nice atmosphere. Great and clean swimmingpool. Dinner and breakfast facing a waterhole with animals. Staff is very friendly and correct. Beds were super comfortable and long enough for tall people. All in all one of our best stays in Namibia.

“It was our favourite accommodation, we liked it so much that we returned before we flew out.”
The staff here are fantastic - very friendly, welcoming and warm. They go the extra mile and seem genuinely happy. Special thank you to Petrus and the front of house team for being so kind. The lodge has charm, good vibes and seemed much more authentic compared some other lodges we stayed at. The location is incredibly peaceful and quiet. We saw giraffe, warthog, impala, kudu, waterbuck, mongoose, ostrich - either by sitting at the new waterhole viewing platform with a drink at sunset, or by going for a little walk . We stayed in winter, but our room had a heat pump plus a woodburner which was lit by the staff every night. Super cosy. Perfect spot to get a first taste of Namibia, recover and recharge after a long flight. We felt very at home.

The staff were very friendly. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. There was a water hole near the table so you could see the animals while eating dinner. It was quiet and private.

Wow, wow, wow, the number of animals whole day around the water hole (unfortunately because of severe drought and heat). You can be here a whole day relaxing at the pool, at the restaurant, and just looking at the animals. The game drive was amazing, with so many species and a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. All staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was very taste and I really appreciated the great combination of meat and loads of vegetables.

“Prefect location, with the the perfect hosts”
The lodge is within an hours drive from Windhoek, so perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff is extremely accommodating for anything you need. Highly recommend the safari drive, and the spa massage. I could go walking into the reserve, which was brilliant.

Location is perfect distance from Windhoek and the lodge is perfect. Great views, plenty of animals and the stars were spectacular. The staff made the trip and I was made to feel extremely welcome. Food was incredible and I had 2 of the best meats I've tried

“Ideal place for nature lovers who like quietness and hiking in this fabulous nature”
At first we have appreciated the location with a 360 degrees panoramic view with the mountains all around,the quietness Then we were Very good welcoming by all the staff It was the only safari lodge where we could go hiking directly from the lodge in the nature and see animals(girafes,zebras,oryx,springbocks,osrtiches,kudus,etc)in safety.There are many possibilities for sundown or sunrise hikings,not far away from the lodge Diner and breakfast very good
