Overview
Offering an outdoor pool, The Bygone is set in Wimberley in Texas Hill Country. The lodge is on 2.2 hectares overlooking the Blanco River Valley. Guests can enjoy the sunrise from one of the public decks or private room. Guests can spend time hiking, bird-watching or relaxing on the deck by the pool. Private access to a nature trail with native plants and a dinosaur track is on site. Rooms are air conditioned and equipped with a cable TV. Every unit comes with a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Some rooms have a private balcony. A hair dryer and ironing facilities are available upon request. Bird feeders are set across the property, which seasonally attract birds such as Scott's orioles, painted buntings, and lesser goldfinches. San Marcos is 17 km from The Bygone.

The hotel was very modern and tastefully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views were beautiful and the firepit was nice to sit by at night. Easy access to Wimberley via car and well located to explore the hill country.

“We will be back!”
The hotel was just as pictured which we loved the updated look. Our room had a view of the pool that overlooked the hills behind it which was very nice! You can enjoy the view from the window since there's not a deck but still enjoyable. The pool was also great. The deck and loungers around it were nice to enjoy. The location was also perfectly located 5 min from Wimberley square which was perfect since we had plans to swim at Blue Hole. We will definitely be back!

It was a wonderful stay ! I booked the room for my boyfriend's 30th birthday and we were both happy with the experience. If you want to get away with your loved one, just go with The Bygone ! It is calm, the room was clean, the instructions to get to the room were clear, we did the trail, which was great, and we could also enjoyed the pool with this wonderful view !

The staff were very nice and attentive. The facility is in need of updates and a good deep clean. Bed was okay not great but the A/C worked really good. Definitely not somewhere I just have to go back to but if I needed a place to stay and couldn't find anywhere else I would consider it again.

“Great location with amazing staff”
View was amazing from the balcony of the room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to requests. The stay was pleasant and the locations proximity to Wimberly is a huge plus.
