Great location and superb atmosphere, excellent food

Lovely treehouse with amazing views, right by the park entrance with super friendly staff. Food was good. We only stayed the one night but loved it. Arranged our safaris, which were great, and we were lucky enough to see all big 5.

Absolutely everything. We were upgraded at no extra charge to their best Tree House - which had excellent views over rice fields and the park. Our accomodation was wonderful, including a comfortable bed, aircon, modern bathroom and a large treetop verandah with comfortable chairs. The staff went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. Even driving into town to get me a bottle of white wine (as I don’t drink beer) so I could enjoy a glass or two before dinner. Dinner was superb - we had the bbq. There are chairs and tables dotted around - perfectly positioned to drink in the views - and did I mention the ‘quiet’ - you find your soul there. A huge mention to SAMPATH who oversaw our stay. He got up really early to pack us a delicious breakfast picnic for our 6am Safari (including our driver and Jeep guide). Willapattu National park Safari is a must.

“Excellent safari hotel right next to the gate”

Everything The staff are just brilliant The food is great The location is about 2 mins from park gate I booked my safaris with them it was all good. The rooms are spot on. The view over the paddy fields is awesome with Hornbills and egrets everywhere.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was any trouble for them, they liked to talk to you , it was very peaceful about 5min to the park entrance.

“Jungle sounds on the doorstep of Willpatu”

The location for Willpatu safari could not be better. And what an experience to be on the midst of trees and hear all the jungle sounds.

Beautiful location and within walking distance to the national park! Birds, monkeys and bats seen from our room.

“Two night stay at the tree house”

Lovely to sit outside for breakfast and watch the wildlife, especially the hornbills. Two minutes drive from the national park. The hotel prepared a lovely packed breakfast and lunch for our safari day.

A fantastic location and amazing staff that will do all they can for you to have the best stay possible. On our first night, we were taken out for a walk to the lake from one of the members of staff and we saw elephants, lots of birds and crocodiles. What a start. From the balcony of our treehouse, we got to see elephants walking across the field and a range of birds flying about. The whole time we were there, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We booked a full day safari through the hotel and the experience was amazing. A lovely breakfast and lunch for the trip were provided along with refreshments for the day. The staff could not do enough for you. The treehouse itself was lovely. A unique place to stay in a spectacular setting. Highly recommended.

“Nice and quiet place”

Location was perfect as Willpatu NP is next door. A great chance to see local life, as you can walk around the village/ lake. Place was nice and clean but we found it a bit pricy for what it is.

We loved our treehouse accomodation. Watching the wildlife in the tops of the treees was fabulous! We saw baby and large squirrels and many many birds from the balcony!! . A simple swing by the creek was perfect for kids to play and chill. Food was great! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! We did full day Safari and our treehouse was right next to the National park entrance. Couldn’t get closer!!! The offered laundry which was much needed after Safari. I went on a solo bike ride village tour with Shinran (one of the young staff members) as well as a nature walk. We stayed 3 nights!! Was enough time here! AC was great!! - we did one day Safari and one day visiting some local swimming spots! Would recommend for couples or families.

Dinner was lovely and the room and view were amazing. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

“Very good stay and perfect location”

Exactly what it says on the tin! Lovely view across rice field where we saw deer, tree animals, birds and bats. Right next to the Wilpattu Park, so no additional travelling.
