“A memorable stay”

The staff, Haresh and team were super efficient, helpful and welcoming. Everything ran like clockwork. They took care of our excursions. The 19 year old chef made insanely great dishes, some of the best I have eaten! While it's mainly a place you go to if you want to explore Wilpattu national park, it's worthwhile enough to travel there just for a stay at Wild Wadi. We went out to explore the lakes and a morning run. Very safe. The food prep was very hygienic and they filter mineral water for you to drink.

It's best place for family & children, ideal for kids is the wild life safari, if you lucky, then you see leopard ❤️

Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable. Nestled in a stunning location surrounded by wild, untouched nature, it offers a unique sense of peace and connection with the environment. From our private terrace, we could even admire playful monkeys in their natural habitat—an experience that felt both magical and serene. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel’s owner, whose hospitality was exceptional from the very beginning. She took care of every detail with genuine kindness and dedication, making us feel completely at home throughout our stay. She also went above and beyond in helping us organize both a boat safari and a wildlife safari. The wildlife safari was guided by her son, who turned out to be an incredible bird expert. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more special and memorable. Another highlight of our stay was the food. We were treated to authentic Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners, both of which were absolutely delicious and prepared with great care. This hotel is a hidden gem for anyone looking to combine comfort, personal service, and an authentic nature experience. We would return without hesitation.

Phenomenal staff particularly Manori (and her beautiful family) who are so helpful, honest and kind. The BEST food we have eaten in Sri Lanka and attentive service which met and excelled our needs. The private pool is completes the perfect jungle oasis. It is a great break from the hustle and bustle of city life and we are certainly coming back!!

Privacy, size of rooms. Quiet. Unga the dog and squirrels. Clean. The staff were very very friendly, exceptionally helpful on site as well as with future endeavors, and wonderful food providers. The staff also set us up with great driver and safari for two.

One of my favourite places I stayed in Sri Lanka. Manori and his team were such kind and friendly people, so helpful with organising activities and food was great. Absolutely recommend!

Wild Wadi is in a beautiful location and the staff try extremely hard to please. I find this very hard to write as the staff are so amenable but I feel an honest account of our stay is needed for future travellers.

Wild Wadi Wilpattu is a wonderful base for visiting the beautiful national park. We stayed for two nights. After arrival, we immediately took a refreshing dip in the private plunge pool at our cottage. Various excursions can be booked at the accommodation. In the afternoon, we took a boat trip through the mangroves and enjoyed a stunning sunset. The next day, we went on a fantastic safari. Both days were with the same excellent guide. Food and drinks were well taken care of. In the evening, the BBQ with fish and crab is highly recommended :) We had a truly lovely stay.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming ; very accommodative; The manager Harsha was very helpful and knowledgeable ; Though I didn’t meet Manori in person , from the moment I booked, she communicated with welcoming messages, info about the property and facilities and arranged transport, safari etc. Even though she was on holidays, she responded promptly. I felt welcomed Property blended with nature and eco friendly. Close to national park entrance Had their own naturalist Priyashantha who was quite knowledgeable about the wildlife

“Peaceful, remote, nature at its best”

This place was secluded and beautiful. The team were amazing, incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, kind and made our stay effortless. We did an incredible water safari at sunset which was the perfect way to settle in and unwind. We saw elephants on route, and numerous birds from the boat. The morning safari was lush and fun. Great food provided to eat at the leopard watering hole. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so special and for wrapping Andy’s finger after the “cute” giant squirrel bit it !!

The staff at Wild Wadi were fantastic and the food we were served was absolutely delicious. I know they were badly impacted by the cyclone, and had worked very hard to get back on their feet ahead of our arrival.

Very nice resort and very nice owners, that took us for a walk to the entrance of the national park where we aready saw a lot of wildlife.

We cannot recommend the staff highly enough as they took total care of us when Cyclone Ditwah doing it's worse. We had a great room and deck but can't give a proper review as were flooded out.

We had an amazing stay at Wild Wadi Wilpattu. The villa is spacious and the private pool is really nice. The staff is great, we really enjoyed the home cooked food and the hospitality. The owner Manori is eager to help you and loves to tell about the culture and nature of the country. We did a full day safari with Shaktar and the driver, they know very well where to spot the animals and we were lucky to see two leopards. The location is close to one of the entrances to Willpattu park.
