“Jungle experience.”

Had a lovely welcome hot flannel and a cool drink whilst we checked in which was lovely and was really needed after a long journey. Loved that we were in a remote location . Loved the dark skies and the noise of the jungle too. Staff were lovely and we were very well looked after. The family were very keen to please us. It was a bit chilly at night so a blanket supplied would be good. I did not ask for one but I am sure it would have been supplied had I done so ,probably should have as family are very approachable. It was a very different experience which our party enjoyed. Our accomodation was comfy with small outdoor seating.We had drinks in watchtower one night which was cool. Our safari was arranged for us before we arrived and our driver and naturalist were excellant and gave us a great safari experience.

Excellent place to stay! Owner is a biologist and has vast knowledge of wildlife, he came with us on Safari and took amazing shots of leopards with his high definition camera equipment! Lovely Man.. we would highly recommend this accomodation ! Thank you

“Wonderful stay close to nature”

We had a great stay at Nirvaan Lodge! The lodges were very clean and beautifully designed, with lovely half-outdoor bathrooms that made the experience feel special. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — we immediately felt at home. Dinner and breakfast were very good,too. Our host even gave us a tour around the area and was also our safari guide, which made the whole experience even more personal. He also helped us with planning the next steps of our journey. All in all, a wonderful stay that we would definitely recommend!

Well equipped tent, with comfortable beds and although no air con there was a large fan. We loved listening to the sounds of the wild animals birds and insects outside the tent. The hotel area is fenced off from the forest by an electric fence so no fear of animals straying into the tent at night. The staff were very responsive to questions before we arrived and helped us in organising the safari and our onward travel.

“Very memorable stay”

Great location on the paddyfields very close to Wilpattu NP entrance. There's a lake close by which you can take a quiet walk to. The guide at the property offered to walk with us to fo some bird watching. We did 2 days safari from here and the staff also arranged a bespoke day for us to go to Kalpitiya and fo dolphin watching and snorkeling. Or children loved the pet dogs too, who walk with us each time to the lake! We chose this place because the owner/ guides are research scientists for the sloth bears in the park. The guide was able to answer all our questions. We saw leopards and bear in the park amongst lots of others.

“Amazing! Would highly recommend”

Super comfy beds, and such a lovely set up. We really enjoyed our stay, the setting is incredibly peaceful and the safari organised by the owner, Roger the guide and his partner were incredible. Wilpattu National Park is a few minutes drive from the property. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a taxi pretty last minute on the Sunday to get to the airport

“A must-visit when exploring Wilpattu!”

One of the most unique stays of our trip! You sleep in a tent-like accommodation surrounded by jungle and rice fields, truly immersing yourself in nature and wildlife. The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. They organized a full-day safari for us, including breakfast and a packed lunch for in the Wilpattu National Park. We had an amazing experience and two fantastic days!

Perfect location for a Wilpattu safari. Highly recommend to book it with the naturalist Zion, a former park ranger. We spotted 6 leopards in one safari day! Food was amazing even the one they gave for the safari day The tent is basic but comfy. Bring some earplugs agains the jungle noise.

Organised an incredible safari for us with a delicious breakfast and lunch provided for. The accommodation was very comfortable and the food was excellent. Location was great.

“hidden gem in the nature, so many animal sounds is amazing!”

This is a hidden gem near the willpattu park. You are located in the middle of a nice field and jungle around you. The staff is super friendly and the owner took us one evening with a jeep to his farm where we had dinner under the stars, recommend to do this! Maybe you spot some elephants! Was amazing! You can also book the park tour with this location.

“A great start to our Sri Lankan holiday”

We loved the beautiful location & friendly staff. The Sri Lankan breakfast was good with more than we could eat. Our safari tent was basic but comfortable and the outdoor bathroom was great! The highlight of our stay was the Wilpattu safari with Rani and Malinda who went to great effort to show us as many beautiful birds & animals as they could. Highly recommended.
