We used the hotel as a base to visit the surrounding area of Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlantic City and Lancaster County. Additionally, we had family in the city of Wilmington so this location best served all these needs well. The outside of the hotel is very good, looking modern and stylish. The lobby is very good with a bar and cafe and a reception area. We found all but one member of staff amazingly helpful and friendly. The hotel has a small gym and pool and a nice outside area. The car park is large and there are good restaurants close by. The rooms are larger than we expected although for this larger size it was no more than a normal hotel room. I know the hotel does have suites and we kind of expected a little more facilities given the price point and it being a Marriott chain property. The bathroom was the most significant negative as while everything functioned perfectly, it did look a little dated. However, there was enough storage space and while we had a car park view the room was light. In addition, on the plus side, the in room air conditioning unit worked very well.
