Overview
Situated along the Garden Route, Mes Amis Beach Guest House offers elegant rooms with private entrances and direct access to Wilderness Beach. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and lounges. Each of the rooms is simply decorated and has large sliding doors leading onto a furnished patio, with views of the Indian Ocean. They are equipped with an en suite bathroom, and TV. Breakfast is served onsite in our dining room overlooking the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. A full english & continental breakfast is offered. There are fantastic restaurants close to the property that can be recommended for lunch and dinner. Guests can also enjoy the various outdoor activities available nearby such as fishing, hiking, kayaking or hang gliding. Free private parking is available. Knyna is a 45 km drive from the guest house and Mossel Bay is 60 km away. George Airport is 20 km from Mes Amis.

“Highly recommended for a stop en route further east on the Garden Route.”
The sea view rooms offered a stunning view and private terraces; yet were well soundproofed. The interior design was thoughtful. Vanessa and Paul very kindly met us on arrival even though we were 1 1/2 hours past the arrival time due to heavy traffic and road works.

“Amazing stay, we will come back for sure”
Already great Welcome from the friendly staff and owner. We got a welcome drink, Cat was setting the fireplace for us to enjoy the evening in the lounge. Awesome breakfast with gluten-free options. Great view from lounge and rooms.

An incredible place with a stunning view of the Indian Ocean and direct beach access. We received a very warm welcome, the rooms are beautifully designed with ocean views, and the hosts were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast with a view of the ocean was wonderful. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

“Don't think twice—book a room at this wonderful place!”
Brilliant location! Dolphins even showed up during breakfast, which is served outside on the patio or indoors. The rooms are very spacious and there is direct access to the beach. A special thank you to Conan, who went above and beyond to help us with several things — from retrieving a locked key from our car to assisting when we had some health issues. The owners were also incredibly welcoming, and Kat always had a big smile on his face. We will definitely be back!

The staff was out of this world - constantly trying to help, super friendly, and always available. One of the owners was an absolute lifesaver for us, even helping us with a laundry issue. I really can’t stress enough how amazing the staff was. On top of that, the rooms were spacious and clean, we had an incredible view from our terrace, and direct access to the beach. Breakfast was good - what’s not to like, really? I don’t say this lightly, but this place was a 10/10.

Beautiful room with stunning sea view. Great patio space where you can watch dolphin pods swim by! A good hearty breakfast including eggs, fruit salad, yoghurt, breads etc. Helpful staff- Kat welcomed us warmly & gave all the information we needed to get comfortable
