Overview
Bordering the Wildeness National Park, Fairy Knowe Backpackers features a garden equipped with BBQ facilities. Guests will find a bar on site and can make use of the shared kitchen. “Soft landing, friendly vibes”
Always a friendly welcome and homely feeling. It's a backpackers, not a hotel. So expect a more humble but fun and creative vibe and decor. Personally I love it, always a soft landing.

Great backpackers, rustic, calm, hippy, deep in nature, nice outdoor boma bar area, great outdoor seating and braai/fires. Great location and access to nature.

“Vibey but chilled. A perfect relaxing getaway under the trees.”
Great location and vibey bar and communal areas but our double room was still peaceful and far enough away from the action. Relaxed atmosphere and an interesting mix of people around. Bed was very comfortable.

Our family room was clean and we could lock the door. It's next to Ebb and Flow and the river is lovely.

Understand I visited over busy holiday season, but there was no space in the communal fridges or kitchen lockers to store food. It's a pity, since I've had a previous positive stay at this backpackers and my experience then was polar opposite. My advice - stay away during peak season if you're planning on making use of kitchen facilities.
