The food gift basket was a nice touch for an Airbnb, especially accommodating dietary preferences. Highlights were the great secluded location to unwind, and recharge, amidst woodland, birdlife and an Ocean view across the valley. The Hosts were friendly and helpful. Food shops only about a 6-minute drive to the CBD.

The views, peacefulness and hospitality were second to none. First visit to Whitianga and it was well worth the long drive! Close to beaches and places to explore or just relax in the treetops!

We have stayed at many Booking.com properties over the years and I can honestly say this one has been the best. Beautifully presented with an attention to detail that goes above and beyond what you would expect. Every facet of the property exudes quality. On arrival we were met by the host, Harry, who gave us an introduction to the property and some advice on local places to visit, a local insight that is highly valued. The fridge was stocked with snacks and food to see you through breakfast on your first day even fresh fruit in the bowl, all very welcoming for anyone at the end of a long journey. As hosts Shirley and Harry are some of the nicest people you could meet, warm and welcoming but ensuring you have your privacy. A perfect balance. The property is in a wonder location, quiet and peaceful with stunning views across the bay. Under 5km to the town centre it’s an ideal location for anyone looking to explore, take in the local food scene or just to chill. We enjoyed the property so much we spent time relaxing rather than exploring. In short, if it’s available book it! If it isn’t then change your travel plans to fit and you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back the next time we are in New Zealand.

We could not have asked for a better place to spend Christmas. Our hosts, Shirley and Harry went out of their way to ensure we where comfortable. The location is fantastic with absolute peace and quiet. Only sorry we hadn't booked a longer stay. Cheers to Shirley and Harry.

Very spacious, fantastic view, very well equipped with kitchen utensils and ingredients to make self catering easy including sufficient food for a meal and breakfast. The hosts were very helpful and keen that we got the most out of our stay.

“Your Home in Whitianga”

Everything was perfect!! Harry and Shirley were keeping an eye on me until I arrived at their Apartment!! They are awesome!! The apartment was absolutely clean and Harry and Shirley left fruits and many things in the fridge to welcome me!! Fantastic!! The bed is really comfortable and the first floor has an amazing views over whitianga and buffalo bay!! The Apartment is surrounded by vegetation and gardens… it’s a great place to relax and listen to Nature!! You have private parking in the same door!! As i said… everything was perfect except i couldn’t stay more time there… but i will be back for sure 100%!! Thanks for everything Harry and Shirley!! See you as soon as possible!!

“Wish we had stayed for longer.”

Stunning location in a lovely town. Lovely one bedroom house with terraces front and rear to catch the sun. The view over the bay is magnificent. The accommodation is very comfortable and has almost everything you need. Wish we had booked for longer.

The view has been extraordinary and the house has been in a totally quiet location. The kitchen equipment has been superb, also the fridge was filled with a lot of goodies. Shirley and Harry helped with good advice.

Location superb, great little balcony to simply take in the views. Very chilled, could have stayed longer. Lovely hosts, very good welcome pack. Loved it !
