“Great location, lovely room, friendly staff. I will be back”
This was my second stay and it was great again. The room was small but clean and quiet. I didn’t have much time to hang around but the bed was cosy and nice.

“Excellent location and a charming house!”
Beautiful old house in a riverside location , ideal for visiting old Wetzlar. The rooms were well fitted but very small but that wasn’t really a problem. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was first class

“Wonderfully historic hotel, run by super friendly staff”
Wonderfully historic building. Rooms are fairly small, but that doesn't matter a bit, as they are part of the history. They are also comfortable, clean and with good bathrooms. Breakfast is fantastic, and staff very friendly and helpful Access and communications all work very well

The booking.com confirmation said: King room The room confirmed by the hotel on the date of arrival said "51 Dienstmädchen" = "51 maidservant" The room door said "51 Laufbursche" = "51 gofer" The room was on the top floor and probably was formerly used by the servants in this historical house. As a consequence it was tiny. So was the toilet bowl. And the room was not cleaned, seemingly because I did not hang the sign "Please clean the room" outdoors. Unfortunately there was no such sign in my room. Luckily I only stayed three nights.

“Good hotel for young and fit tourist!”
Location is Fantastic, but small map inside the hotel to show nearby parking and some navigation around would be helpful, as hotel located in pedestrian zone.

Perfect setting in the old town in an attractive building - about 20 minutes on foot from the train station. The building itself has been beautifully restored and forms part of the city wall. Friendly ambience; breakfast is available, restaurants are nearby.

“A lovely, historic 363 year old hotel, with amazing views !”
The location of the hotel in the old part of town is stunning.. However, it is the scale, scope and quality of the completed renovation works that needs to be applauded,. The renovation project of a property from 1661, to bring it up to modern standards has been conducted exceptionally well. The hotel staff (especially Rico) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful,
