Overview
Hotel Regina occupies a Victorian-style building dating from 1894 in the heart of car-free Wengen, which can only be reached by train and offers 2 restaurants, a large lobby with a fireplace, a piano bar and a spa area. The rooms offer panoramic views over the mountains of the Jungfrau area, the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and the village. The suites have luxurious ambience. The restaurant serves à la carte dishes and degustation menus. A traditional and international à la carte dishes and daily meals as well as a selection of fine wines are provided. The property offers a wellness area with a sauna and a hammam. During winter, 44 lifts and cable cars are available in the 3 regions Grindelwald-First, Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and Mürren-Schilthorn. In summer, the area around Wengen features many hiking and mountain bike trails.

“Extraordinary”
It’s fantastic! Every detail. The beautiful salon, huge embroidered curtains and chandeliers in the opulent dining room. Just like somewhere that Hercule Poirot would have stayed! And the view of the Jungfrau is to die for!

Amazing! We loved our stay here so so much! The view from the room and balcony was so special with the Swiss alps! The room was comfortable and so beautifully decorated. The note from the general manager and treats was such a nice touch. So nice and close to the train station and the breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very welcoming and kind. The hotel was so wonderful in every aspect and I can’t wait to come back to stay again! Thank you Hotel Regina 🩷

“We had a great time”
Our stay was overall fantastic! Very good breakfast, with outstanding service. The room was very nice, especially the view on the mountains. The building is quite old, which gives the hotel a sort of regal ambiance - nice, albeit quite amusing at times

“Great Wengen stay!”
Great location just a short walk from the train station and town center. The breakfast is well-rounded, the staff are very kind, and the rooms are comfortable. Balconies offer beautiful views. Nice sauna and steam area.

“Pleasant week in a charming olde worlde hotel”
In the main the dinners were excellent and much better than the dinner we tried, eating out, in the village one evening. The staff were most friendly and obliging.

“A grande dame that lost its sparkle many years ago. There are better in wengen.”
The breakfast was sparse. No fresh fruit. The pastries were very average. The eggs and bacon was cold.

The location and the view from the balcony is excellent, the staff is very welcoming and helpful and they also offered very kind and considerate service. We will definitely come back again if we go back to Wengen.
