All the staff were brilliant, most helpful and most genial. It really felt like special treatment, but it was for everyone and it was genuine. The ground floor restaurant has an excellent view of Jungfrau, as do the balconies on that side. Staubbach falls, the waterfalls down in Lauterbrunnen town itself, beautifully floodlit at night, can be seen from the end-of-corridor balconies, which are small communal spaces. It is positioned close to the train station, maybe 5 minutes walk uphill. There is a decent sized co-op supermarket by the station. As well as plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops along the main street. The cablecar station to Mannlichen is another couple of minutes past that. There are stunning views all over Wengen, literally everywhere, and the views from the gardens are amazing. But walk 30 seconds further down the hill to the corner of the road for an unexpected WOW! moment, day and night. There are hotels in Wengen which are more expensive but which have better panoramic views. They're all quite happy for you to come use their terraces for drinks or food and take in the views. So stay in the very nice and cheaper place and go find the expensive terraces for yourselves. Or Google them, obviously! Wengen is beautiful, really stunning, and Hotel Edelweiss was a real home-feeling hotel, and I thoroughly recommend you stay there.

Staff! Excellent hosting, made our stay comfortable, very friendly and warm. The best part of the hotel is their helpful staff. Also care was being taken for small things like making the post check out journey comfortable, helping with early entries ...separate seating space in case you want to be around after check out... excellent food in their in-house restaurant.

Hotel edelweiss was very clean. Beautiful views, breakfast selection was excellent, as was dinner. Garden was beautiful we just sat out at night with a glass of wine looking at the mountains. The staff make this hotel- they were so friendly and accommodating. Helped with any request and knowledgable about the area.

This is an amazing gem of a hotel in an amazing location where the hosts made our stay a truly memorable one. They have a chef onsite so from breakfast where there was a really good selection and everything was cooked fresh to dinner where the menu choices were amazing And the food was superb you will not be disappointed Every morning the host would give tips and hints of how best to get around and the best places to see I Cannot recommend this place enough and you will not be disappointed 😀

“Warm welcome in Wengen at the wonderful Edelweiss Hotel”

We were given the most wonderful welcome at this hotel. Tomas was a brilliant host and gave us great advice on local hikes and treks and how to make the most of our time during our short trip. Dinner and breakfast were both great and the room was ideal for our stay, with a wonderful view of the mighty Jungfrau and along the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Would love the chance to come back here again.
