Clean, comfortable, and better than I imagined. Even has a washing machine! Careful in the garden at night... a huge creature ran past me while smoking a cigarette 🤣

Everything was great! Extremely hospitable and helpful villa owner. He helped as to rent scooter and change money on our first day. Peaceful location, but not far from the beach.

“A week in Weligama”

We had a great time staying at The Green. It was in a perfect location for us away from the business of the centre but not too far to get into the town and beach by tuk tuk. Our villa was a great size and was spotlessly clean, we even had it cleaned and the sheets changed half way through our stay. Sujee and his wife are such lovely people, my little boy enjoyed watching cartoons with them. They also made us food and shared their sons birthday cake. We were collected from our previous place and dropped of at our next one by Sujee which made our travel much smoother. We would definitely recommend The Green to others!

“Peaceful and super welcoming hosts”

It’s located in a quiet road, ideal if you really need to sleep. After a long drive on a scooter from tangalle, they welcomed us with fresh juice. The room is like a studio flat, you have a small kitchen with washing machine, fridge and a small kattle. Spacious bed, finally a place with a wardrobe and a desk. WiFi is really good and fast. There is also an outdoor patio with a table and chairs. They kindly dropped us off near the train station when we left and also the night before leaving, they made fresh Chinese rolls and were sooooo good. Thank you very much for having us!

Quite place, friendly owners, own terrace

Our guest house stay was excellent! The apartment was clean, spacious and had a lovely outside sitting area where you can have drinks and dinner. The whole compound has beautiful nature too. The host Sugee is a really great guy. Very friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay as nice as possible! He and his family even cooked us a lovely dinner with traditional Sri Lankan dishes like prawns, Dahl and string hoppers. He also offers taxi services for very reasonable prices to and from the airport and to other towns and sites, which was very convenient. I highly recommend this place! You won’t regret it.

“Beautiful homestay hosted by a beautiful family at a prime yet quaint location”

Beautiful property with the warmest hosts! Sujee went above and beyond with his hospitality - be it assisting me even before I arrived in Sri Lanka with questions related to transportation, weather, currency exchange, and what not, to personally taking me to the best currency exchanges, helping me with scooter rentals, and his family offering some yummy home cooked snacks! It was wonderful staying with them :) The location is only 5 mins away from Weligama beach as well as the main bus stop, and yet tucked away from the busy streets. If you’re lucky you might even have the company of some beautiful peacocks in the garden! I 100% recommend his homestay if you’re in Weligama.

“A wonderful find”

I had the most amazing stay at The Green Weligama. I stayed for 1 week and it was a truly wonderful experience. It has a small kitchen space so I enjoyed cooking and eating in the lovely outdoor area. The bed was so comfortable and it was really quiet so slept well every night. The location was great, away from the busy area but closebenough to access the shops and beach. The best part though was the welcoming and warm hosts, such lovely people. I felt so welcomed and at home. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Weligama!

The perfect place for digital nomad couples that need to work from home. Wifi and AC worked well. Very comfortable desk inside the room and table outside under a covered patio within the beautiful garden of the property. You’re surrounded by the sounds of nature instead of the noise of the main roads. Room is very clean and additional cleaning was provided mid-week. Inside the room there is everything you need, including a little kitchenette and a very modern washing machine. The hosting family is super friendly and kind. Highly recommend this place!

“Wonderful stay”

Our stay here was absolutely perfect! The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and plenty of furniture, including a wardrobe, dresser, and desk. The bathroom was large and had a washing machine. The kitchen had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly kind and always available to help. We had some issues with the internet, but they did everything possible to fix it quickly. While it sometimes wasn’t strong enough for video calls, it always worked well for voice calls and watching videos. We loved this place so much that we decided to extend our stay, canceling another booking. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with a great atmosphere!

“Quite dirty but great location”

The location was great, we felt very safe and the hosts were nice and welcoming. The sheets were even washed once throughout our stay which was great and the washing machine was also very practical.

Great little kitchen and outside eating area, beautiful gardens, everything worked well, friendly owners, really enjoyed my stay here

Nice place, out from noisy road and railway, but still close to city center. Spacious and well-equipped apartment. Inverter ACs, ceiling fans, big fridge. Hot water is hot (heated by electricity, not by sun). Internet is optical and quite fast. Working areas for 2-3 people (small table in the bedroom and very big table in the dining room). Good parking place inside thecterritory, for 2 cars.

the location was a bit on the side with an amazing garden that we got access to. the staff is amazing, cooked good food and helped us out with everything we neede, taxis, motorbikes, tuk tuk you name it they helped us. would 300% come back here.

Quiet place with nice green garden, near the town and beach, best to have a motorbike or you can walk/take tuk-tuk. Room is spacious with fridge, A/C, sitting area, fully equipped. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Owners were nice, help with everything 😊
