A very clean, well maintained, modern, spacious room with a kitchen and a refrigerator. Pleasant and easygoing owners finding the time every day to speak and ask if any needs. A patio in front of the room entrance. Good location, a walking distance to beaches, bus and train stations.

Stayed here a week and had the best time. Ganidu and Kamani are such helpful and friendly hosts. If you’re looking for something peaceful but close to everything, I highly recommend.

The wifi was very good. The room was huge and quite comfortable. The place is very silent and cosy. They have good scooters to rent. The kitchen is not too big, but have a good atmosphere.

We have spent many months over the year staying at Senarathna with Kamani and Ganidu, and we will remember this guesthouse forever. Firstly, the hosts are two incredibly generous, honest, and hardworking people. They will welcome you into their guesthouse with open arms. The property is safe and secure, with CCTV and an enclosed parking space. The room is fantastic, with a comfortable bed and a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, kettle, cutlery, pots, pans, stovetop etc.). It does not get too hot, and the fans are more than enough to keep the room cool. Most importantly, the hosts understand that WiFi is very important for guests who are traveling and working like us, so they ensure that the data is always topped up. We had an incredible few months here, and will be back for sure! We will always have special memories of drinking tea with the hosts, sharing dinners, and living a comfortable and happy life here!!!

“Home away from home”

We spent almost two months at Ganidu and Kamani's guesthouse. There are so many amazing things about this guesthouse, it is hard to summarise it into one review. It is a bit outside of the main road with a peaceful view and nature around but still close to the beach and the city center (5min). The amount of birds which we saw from the top floor balcony was incredible! The room was perfectly cleaned every week. We were both working online (teaching with video call and working on website) and the wifi was perfect for that. The beds were great and the room was cool. We did not need AC, the fan was enough for us, however, you can Book an AC room if neeeded. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need (pan, pot, fridge, kettle, bowls...) and cleaned every day. We cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Not to mention that you have a great open space to eat with a view. The kitchen and living room on the top floor is only shared with one other room. Everything is safe and secure at this guesthouse. You can park your scooter behind the gate and there are CCTV cameras to add to the security. Senerathna Guesthouse is a top quality guesthouse. But the owners (Kamani and Ganidu) made it feel like home. We have travelled through South East Asia for a year now, and we have never felt the comfortability, security, warmth, and kindness that we felt here. If you have the privilege of staying here, please treat this wonderful couple with the same respect and kindness that they give to you. They deserve it.

Excellent accommodation, has WiFi that actually works a gd place dor a digital nomad to stay. Hosts were great and organised me a ride to my next place. The room was really big and spacious with a private balcony, can't get better for the price.

“Best value accommodation in the country”

The easiest 10 I've given on any booking webpage, and the best value accommodation I had during my seven weeks in Sri Lanka. Clean and well-appointed room and common areas, including a good kitchen (which had uninterrupted gas supply for the stove despite a national shortage). The neighbourhood is good and relatively quiet. The Queen Room has optional AC which is brilliant, and great value regardless of whether you opt for it ($4) or sleep under the fan. The host couple are brilliant people, always professional and kind. Great experience.
