Location and friendly staff

“One more day? More like one more week!”

I must have said "One more day" at least seven times during my stay here but cause it was so amazing. Both the other travellers, as well as the staff, were incredible, social, and fun to be around. Rizzie runs this hostel from the bottom of his heart, which is clear from all the time and effort he continuously invests in improving the facilities and making sure guests are comfortable and well taken care of. The new café is an incredible addition, because few things are better than fresh coffee and smoothies in the morning. The facilities are basic, but for a location right on the beach there's not much more you could ever need. Being able to walk 30 seconds to the beach for a dip was so convenient. It was easy to make friends both for parties, but also to share fun activities like surfing and checking out local restaurants. As a smaller hostel, I found it felt a lot more like a family than some of the larger hostels in the area. I can't wait to come back to Weligama and stay here again!

Really social hostel- the family, who is running the hostel is doing everything for you and want to guarantee that you have the best stay. The rizzies cafe is the best (mango smoothie❤️)

I‘ve had one of my most enjoyable stays at One More Day which is more of a motto than just a name. Rizzie and his son, and all other staff are extremely welcoming, helpful and making sure you feel at home. Also its in a constant developing and everytime you get there theres something new. The Mango Smoothies are thick and really hard to stay away from. The hostel is at the beach, good and diverse food or a cold beer are reachable by foot in less than minute, same goes for coffee/tee or a bananabread.

It was such a welcoming and friendly space! The staff have worked really hard to create an amazing culture! Would highly recommend staying here.

This place is absolutely amazing for solo travelers. It’s so easy to meet wonderful people here – I arrived alone and left with new friends I already love. Rizzie, the owner, makes this place truly special with so much heart and care. He creates such a warm, open atmosphere that socializing just happens naturally. Everything feels relaxed, welcoming, and full of good energy. Honestly, it’s a 12 out of 10 for me. I will definitely come back for one more day – or probably many more. 💙

This place is a dime in a dozen, if you’re looking for a clean hostel with a family vibe look no further. The cafe is nice to get your drinks at in the morning!

I enjoy staying here. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a space to socialize and meet people. There’s also a coffee place that makes good smoothies, coffee, and smoothie bowls at a good price.

Location is right on the beach

Location was perfect and atmosphere in a hostel was great. Staff and owner of the place were super friendly and helpful. I also extended my staying with few days.

An amazing place to relax, hang out, and meet fun people, with direct access to the beach ! Booked 1 night and stayed the whole trip, really feels like home and Rizzie and Imran know how to properly welcome travellers, and make them part of the family! Additional bonus: you get fresh fruit from the trees as they ripen We shared great moments 🤩
