Nice location, a bit uphill, close to the beach. Nice owners, basic but okay.

“Chill place in amazing location”

We came for 5 days and stay for 3 weeks! This place is very quiet, you will not hear the cars on the road and will hear only the waves and the birds. You can go by walk to Coconut beach without cross any main road. There are rooms with AC and kitchen inside. Shani is so kind, every thing that we asked we got with big smile. Definitely will come back.

the appartments on the top floor are amazing. super nice view. clean, modern, warm water, everything you ask for. if its in your busget go for it.

Everything. It is a hidden gem, quite, big room with kitchen and AC, good for working, in the trees surrounded by nature, some good restaurants just around the corner. Shani and her family are the loveliest people! Do not look further, book this place!!

I loved my stay so much, I extended for 3 weeks!Quiet area in beautiful green jungle, 1 minute walk to Coconut Beach. Close enough to both Weligama and Ahangama. WiFi was reliable for WFH. The family was so sweet and very helpful, but also gave a lot of privacy. Thank you so much!

“Great location, but there are some issues”

The location is excellent and the host was generally nice (to begin with) and attentive, 2 bottles of water were placed in our room which was nice. Unfortunately the place wasn't for us and we left after the first night. We like fresh air and the window in the room was wired shut. The power point in the room also didn't work, so had to find one in the common area (although many of them didn't work either). The room was dank and damp and smelled a little mouldy. The bathroom sink area hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest (beard hair and toothpaste). And unfortunately power was out for the majority of the day, and the room was quite hot (we realise this isn't the hosts fault and there isn't much they could have done). WiFi information wasn't readily given on check in and we asked another guest for the password - although I'm sure a quick message to the host would have rectified this. Some of the other guests also weren't overly respectful of common spaces, leaving their food packets, tobacco and crumbs all over the only table for others to clean up before they could use the space. At night a large cockroach decided to bite one of us in our sleep. Upon checkout (we paid for our whole stay even though we left early), the host charged us for the bottles of water, perhaps she was disgruntled but she also wasn't forthcoming with change. She asked what the problem was and we mentioned that a working power point and an opening window would be good. She said because we asked for an early check in that there was no time to fix power points. However, previous reviews have mentioned the same issue. So be prepared to pay for water, it isn't included in the room price and make sure you have the correct money to pay. Great location just not the place for us.

Shanika is very kind local women who is taking care and she is doing her best. The house is in peaceful area, very close to beach. Shanika cooked amazing dinners for us, we were very happy at this place.
