From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warmest, kindest, and most professional team. Every staff member greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel incredibly cared for throughout our stay. The food was absolutely superb. What amazed us most was that the team happily prepared the special breakfast requests I asked for every single morning—something I never expected and truly appreciated. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay even more memorable. The property itself is a sanctuary. Surrounded by nature, with stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, and incredibly relaxing massages, it was exactly the reset we needed. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and recharge, this is it. We also loved the complimentary shuttle service to their beachfront property, Shaq in Mirissa, which was such a wonderful added touch. “Secluded luxury in nature.”

Beautiful and stunning location overlooking rainforest, coast and wetlands. Nature all around. Very efficient and helpful team of staff who accommodated every need with warmth and a smile. Delicious choice of meals. The villas are comfortable, spacious and open out into nature, which is a delightful experience. The main hotel saltwater pool is a real luxury.

Secluded and relaxing, can’t recommend it more. The food was top tier. The barramundi was the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Also and excellent choice of items for vegetarian and vegans.

The most beautiful swimming pool, Best curries in Sri Lanka, very attentive and accommodating staff. Restaurant and facilities are beautiful and stylish. We had a complimentary dinner after staying four nights. Birds and monkeys were great.

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The design of the hotel is stunning, the staff are exceptional and the rooms immaculate with a super comfortable bed and clean private pool. The perfect couple of days to end our honeymoon.

The staff were super friendly and ready to help anytime. The food was delicious with lots of healthy options . The 30-meter main pool was fantastic. We could spend hours by it without getting bored.

It‘s peaceful, serene, with a slight refreshing breeze as it‘s at the top of a hill. The staff went out of its way to cater our needs, and the additional offerings such as the beach shuttle, yoga classes and nature walks were thought through and stopped us from having to think about it ourselves :).

What an amazing hotel and staff team. They would message you via WhatsApp so if you needed something they would come straight away. They made us a honeymoon cake. The hotel has vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The pool villa is beautiful and relaxing. I was really sad to have only booked one night.

“Magical Weligama stay”

Stunning property perched on a hilltop above weligama bay. All the staff are super friendly and attentive..From management down to waiting staff we were so well looked after. Big shout out to Thusitha our waiter who's lovely smile & demeanour cheered our day. We were thoroughly spoilt by the amazing food which we miss dreadfully...thanks to chef for making us the most delicious mango sago pudding everyday for breakfast and dessert, not forgetting all the other culinary delights!:) Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfortable and the shower generous in size and good water pressure! The views are stunning, surrounded by the beauty of nature, birdsong and wildlife.The Main pool is incredibly generous in size and the setting is perfect. The nature walk in the wetlands was exceptional, our naturist Mendis was so knowledgeable and interesting - he showed us many species of birds/flora/fauna. Wish we could have stayed longer. Can't wait to return!

Malabar Hill is one of the most incredible and lovely places we have ever stayed. The welcome and staff are fantastic, so friendly and willing to help. The location is great and the individual villas are amazing, each with a stunning view and their own totally private infinity plunge pool and patio area. There is just so much to commend, from the main 35m infinity pool and canopy daybeds/sunbeds, the astounding restaurant and food, the fre daily cocktails, the free Tuk-Tuks to Melissa beach and The Shack, the free yoga classes, the lovely 'jungle' paths between the villas and the free nature walks with the friendly and knowledgeable Mendis. It may seem a bit pricey but what you get for your money is incredible, this is a place not to be missed - we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough!

Omg, so we experienced the best service here. The attention to guests is overwelming somentimes but very kind. The pool is exceptional and the view from the rooms is so special, different sky and colors, changing everytime. When we left, I forgot my airpods at the pool, but the staff managed to send them back to me, in a different town, the next day. So I was impressed by the care. Also, we ate several times at the restaurant and the curry was sooo so good.

We spent 3 nights at Malabar Hill and had a fantastic stay. The staff are friendly, professional and understated but attentive. The location is stunning and makes the most of views and breezes. The nature around the property is teeming with wildlife. We took a bird watching walk with Mendis on the first afternoon where we saw and learnt so much. The food is one of the stand out things. We were planning to head to Weligama for a bit of variety but the food was so good at the hotel that we ended up staying there every night. The villas are private and beautiful. We did yoga in the pavilion and visited the beach club in Mirissa. Overall we couldn't fault it. If you want somewhere well run, beautiful with great food you won't find anything better. If you want lots of night life it might not be for you.

“Wonderful, memorable and relaxing taste of Sri Lanka”

Amazing staff, brilliant location, away from the hustle and bustle of mirissa and weligama, but only a 10 min tuk tuk away. So much nature and calmness in the property and beautiful food, every meal we ate was outstanding. Never felt busy, as only 12 rooms, so really nice small feel to it, including small touches like paying for our last lunch as we stayed for 6 nights. Beautifully decorated and designed. Can’t recommend highly enough, one of our favourite hotels we’ve ever stayed in.

We had the best stay at Malabar Hill. The property is absolutely stunning- from the communal areas and pool to the villas. Very quiet and tranquil. Loved the yoga class and massages at the spa. Food was top notch.
