Overall, I had a good stay at Hotel Die Sonne in Weimar. The hotel is located in a historic old town building with plenty of individual character and atmosphere, which gives it much more charm than a standard modern hotel. After paying a supplement, I received a very nice room that was modern, individually decorated and had real charm, with a sofa, a small desk and a proper walk-in shower. The breakfast buffet was also very good, with freshly prepared scrambled or fried eggs, and generally everything one needs for a good breakfast. The location is perfect as well: very central, with all the main sights reachable on foot. Parking is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, but that was not really a problem for me.

“Little gem in Weimar!”
Great location, within 10 minutes walk from the centre and the museums. I didn't have breakfast but the bed was super comfortable and the room was really clean and well presented on arrival. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

“Comfortable Stay with a Few Minor Inconveniences”
II had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, and the room had everything I needed, including a hairdryer and plenty of towels. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. I really appreciated the convenience of being able to check in at any time, as the key was securely stored in a lockbox at the entrance. The host was kind and responded quickly to all my inquiries. The breakfast was decent—not very extensive but perfectly fine. The room itself was beautifully furnished and very clean, which made my stay even more comfortable.

“Bijou of a hotel, small, cosy, perfectly located”
Beautifully furnished small bijou hotel, perfect location for exploring Weimar, very quiet area, 5 mins from Goetheplatzy (bus stop to everywhere), breakfast buffet most satisfying, great choice, totally enjoyable. The lady at the reception was extremely nice, talkative, made me feel welcome.
