Schloss Frankenberg is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome and cared for. The gentleman at reception greeted us with a glass of champagne and gave us a wonderful tour of the castle complex, setting the tone for a memorable stay. Our spacious room had already been cooled for our arrival and we were delighted to find delicious macarons waiting for us. The attention to detail was exceptional—staff even drove a golf cart to our car to collect our luggage and delivered it directly to our room. The restaurant was outstanding, with fabulous food and equally impressive service with a view over the winery and surrounding district below. After dinner, we enjoyed a peaceful walk through the beautiful forest surrounding the castle, watching the sunset while listening to the calls of cuckoo birds. It was a magical experience. We slept wonderfully on the comfortable and high quality bed and pillows, and woke refreshed for breakfast. The breakfast spread was ample, with fresh breads, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, coffee, juices and a chef who prepared eggs to order. We were genuinely sad to leave this beautiful property. Schloss Frankenberg offers a perfect combination of luxury, warmth, and tranquility, and we would love to return one day.
