Set amid the southern Black Forest reserve, this charming family-run hotel in the village of Wehr is just a 15-minute drive from Switzerland and a 30-minute drive from France. The Hotel Klosterhof's comfortable en-suite rooms include free Wi-Fi internet access, private balconies, and attractive wooden furniture. The staff were super friendly and everything was very clean. You could use a big swimming pool if you had swimmers, which we didn't.😏. The owner kindly organised a taxi to pick us weary walkers up from Hasel and next morning drove us back to where hike continued, very helpful. Thank you. Dinner was lovely. Breakfast served from 6.30am! Wow.

“Nice place to stay after hiking the Schluchtensteig trail. Very friendly staff.”
The staff here very friendly, my room was a really good size and very clean. The breakfast was good the staff were very helpful with info on how the get back to Wadshut Tiengen train station after I completed the Schluchtensteig Trail. The hotel is beside the trail about 2 km from the finishing point so at least you know where it is when you complete the trail. Its an easy walk back or a taxi is also option. Good breakfast.
