What a beautiful location on a few kms outside Amsterdam. The owners are super friendly and helped us plan our visits in the area. A working milking farm, it was amazing to wake up each morning to the sound of cattle and ducks. A beautiful experience.

A truly peaceful and comfortable stay. The owners were incredibly helpful and cooperative, providing respectful assistance and consultation whenever needed. The place is well-equipped (beyond the essentials!) and features an original, comfortable interior. The complimentary bicycles to reach the center of Weesp and other locations were a great bonus. Highly recommended for adult travelers.

One of the nicest places I have stayed at. The house is charming and you get a true feeling of the Netherlands, by stating on a farm. The owner is very nice, picked us up on the train station and explained everything and the house comes with all the facilities you would need. Weesp is a cute, little town, with restaurants and supermarket, everything you need and the train station is 15min by bike, on an idyllic route through the countryside. By train we visited Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Zandaam, the Hague, Haarlem, all very easy. Recommendations for peaceful holodays!

“Wonderful farm stay!”

The stay at the farm was wonderful. We stayed a week and staying on the farm seeing some of the farming activity from our windows was great! The hosts were wonderful and gave us many good tips. The bikes provided were great for exploring the windmills, old towns and bridges and locks around the area. Highly recommended!

“A warm, homely abode away from home!”

I think we discovered a serene hidden gem nestled in an idyllic rural farming countryside, barely a 30-minute train ride from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, strewn with cottage farms, market gardens and livestock grazing areas drained by long stretches of water canals. An environment in which we enjoyed lots of walks to and from neighboring quaint towns and took time out to really relax after of a week of hectic business meetings in France. Exactly what we needed: we loved it! The hospitality, responsiveness and attentiveness of our hostess, Irmgard, was the cherry on top. As a matter of fact, we would love to pop in again!

“Weesp, quite Amsterdam :)”

I booked Boerderij Honswijck for my parents as their wedding gift. My parents dont speak english so I was in touch with Irmgard and she was very helpful since beggining. She offered to pick up my parents from the train station and she had also ready two bikes for them. During the stay she also offered to drive my parents to the station due to bad weather and also day of check out. Thank you very much for your hospitality! My parents told me that the house is beautiful and there is everything what you need. Very close is small city Weesp where you can go for shopping or eat. They told me that Weesp is kind of similar to Amsterdam but more quite and with less people. They love the location especially after day spend in Amsterdam. Its easy to go from house to Amsterdam, they had public transport card so the price for public transportation was not so high. Can totally recommend :)

Irmgard and her husband were wery nice, and did everything to accommodate us. She even picked us up at the train station, and the last day of our stay also drove us there, so we could catch the train to the airport. And they also rented us bikes, so we could drive around ( we borrowed it for free :D ) The house we got was very clean, and beautiful. It had everything you need for relaxing holidays. We also liked the surroundings of the house - you really get to see beautiful rural Dutch landscape and houses, even if it's just 15 minutes ride with train from Amsterdam. Would really recommend Boerderij Honswijck for any couples that want to explore Amsterdam, and then in the evening return back to nice, quiet and relaxing place.

Wonderful authentic little house for me alone just outside Weesp (on biking distance) at the premises of a farm, great views on the meadows around, quiet, fantastic bed (slept sóó well), great kitchen, great double (!) shower, superb hosts (bike free of charge, and I was driven to the train station in order to not miss my plane) !
